pain in breast

the past few days I have a sharp pain under my left breast but kind of in my chest I can't figure out where it it. it comes and goes.
just wondering but what this could be, maybe muscle strain??

    Sharp pains aren't usually the heart. It sounds like soft tissue.

    Could be a cyst if it's in your beast. Had one a few years ago with sharp pains. Went away in a few days. If your worried I would bring it up to your doc.

    Hey OP, you shld think about editing title - no one will read if they think it's another sore boobs post...and I'd love some answers too :)

    So glad you posted - I've had this several times lately as well. VERY different from sore breasts, it's sharp shooting pain down my sternum and wraps underneath left breast. I googled it and seems a lot of pg women complain about it but no medical opinions seem to match up, ie they'll say it's heartburn (no it's not) or baby pushing ribs to expand (no way, I'm only 9+5).

    I'll ask my doc and post any answers, but my appt isn't for a couple weeks... :(

    I wouldn't worry too much could just be a very uncomfortable symptom for you. But I'd check with the doctor. My breasts have just been sore and, lately, itchy.

    I've strained muscles in my chest wall before (and ligaments between ribs) and it sounds very similar to the pain you're having. If that's what it is, it's not dangerous and should resolve on it's own, but you should tell your doctor. At the very least, your OB will want to be kept informed of your symptoms.

    I read that your chest actually expands when your pregnant to accommodate the extra air you have to take in (you take in almost twice as much oxygen while pregnant so that baby gets their air too) 
    For a little over a week, just went away a few days ago, right about when I hit week 9, my chest felt super tense, almost where my sternum is, it was intense enough of pain that I wanted medicine, but knew what I needed I couldnt take. 
    I went from a 32 Bust to a 34 bust in the past 2 weeks tho, maybe check your bra bust, if its grown a little, maybe its from that for you too.
