Affordable but nice diaper bag brands

Does anyone know about Kalencom, JJ Cole or Skip-Hop bags?

Thanks

Never heard of those. Are they pricey? I'm thinking $110 or lower is what we are looking for. I've seen several of the brands I posted for about $70. Just not sure what's a good bang for your buck.

Some of the larger ones are around $200, but the one I'm thinking I want is $100.  They've got some great features -- changing pad included, machine washable, bright interior fabric to make it easier to find things.

I had the Skip Hop Dou with my boys. It's 2.5 years old and still in excellent shape. Definitely would last for a while. We're not currently using it anymore because a backpack is easier, but I loved it for the 2 years we used it for.

It is very well constructed, good quality and had the perfect amount of pockets.

Ladies - Kate Spade is having her 75% off sale starting today.  She has several diaper bags for 100-139 that are normally $400.  They are super cute too!

  • I have friends who loved skip hop and JJ cole diaper bags.

I have a JJ cole bag and it worked just fine. It wasn't very expensive either. I think I got it from Babies R Us.

Thanks ladies! I have found a JJ Cole one that's nice. It has shoulder strap or backpack
and lots of pockets. I'll do some more
research and of course read lots
of reviews. There's a nice skip hop one at BRU that I liked as well.
  • I'm in love with petunia pickle bottom. Anyone use one of those? My cute over function is in overdrive, so I'm not sure if they are practical, since I have no idea what I'll be putting in there!!
  • First kid I went through several cheapies. Second kid I bought a SkipHop and it lasted 2+ years and still looked very nice when I donated it. This kid, we invested in a JuJuBe. You really do get what you pay for, the cheap ones never lasted long.
  • I have a Timi and Leslie one that I love. My husband picked it out and did great! It doesn't look like a diaper bag but has enough room for everything. It was expensive but worth it. It's still in great shape and came with an adorable clutch purse that I've used for occasions with out my daughter.
  • I had the skip hop duo bag and hated it with a passion. With my second I got a Vera Bradley bag. Vera Bradley is not my thing and this one is a particularly obnoxious pattern that was on sale, but it's just so damn functional. I love it.
  • I have a Vera Bradley messenger style diaper bag & I love it. I find that cross body straps are essential. The diaper bag version has a soft waterproof lining and quite possibly the best changing pad ever! (Soft quilted against baby and waterproof backing) I also try to pack only essentials but this bag will hold a lot. We bought my SIL a Vera diaper bag as well but it isn't the messenger style. I think it holds a little more than mine
  • I had a timi and Leslie bag that I loved! They have pretty good sales fairly frequently and I got mine for 50% off

@mjzeppelin I have a boxy backpack and I love it. It's super versatile. I've had mine for 4 years and plan on using it for this baby too. Get the glazed though; much easier than the fabric for clean up and wear.

I just bought this one - got it for $40 at an outlet. So glad to hear you love it! I didn't want one of the giant ones, and I was able to find a pattern that isn't pink and flowery.
