Anyone been eating canned tuna? I've done research and seem to get mixed reviews, can I give into my tuna melt with extra pickles craving???? Or do I need to move on!?
Some people completely avoid, but I also know people who eat tuna in moderation and have been cleared to do so by their doctors. You should double check to see what your doctor recommends.
Enjoy in moderation. Tuna can have a higher mercury content than a fish like salmon, but its still kept on the lower-mercury lists. Everything I've seen and heard says 6oz a week should be fine
I know everyone says to be cautious about mercury, but as long as it's in moderation it's fine, plus I think getting omega fatty acids from a natural source is a huge bonus that outweighs mercury concerns! I eat tuna about once a week, if it helps to ease your conscience.
I eat it once in a while. Tuna definitely has a decent amount of mercury in it. I prefer albacore, but if you get chunk light or whatever it's a little better.
Re: Tuna melt?!!!
So, enjoy your sandwich lady!
