Feeling like a bad mommy already

I had posted about how this baby is making me hate everything and I'm not eating much. It also keeps me up at night bc it's hard to sleep..so I end up sleeping at 4am and waking up at 10-11am..during the time I'm sleeping I feel hungry..like I have to feed my baby, but I'm so tired I end up putting sleep first..I regret it every morning when I wake up, but do it again each and every time. There are days when I do get up to feed baby but open the fridge and close it because I don't like anything :( super frustrating

  • You're not alone with the way you feel and you're not a bad mommy.

Just do your best to be healthy and feed baby and that's all you can do!

  • Babies are pretty hardy. I don't know that eating a late breakfast counts as baby abuse! He or she profits from the sleep, too!

I had a difficult first trimester and something my mom said really resonated. She said "Honestly, I didn't like being pregnant, but I loved having my children. "

That's helped me get though some tough days. I may not be a great pregnant lady, but that doesn't mean I won't be a great mom.

Thank you that made me smile :) you rock!
  • I'm doing that and i have kids to take of. I really felt the guilt during this horrific first trimester. Sleep is so important and it is really difficult to deprive your baby of nutrients. They will deplete us and thrive. Hang in there!
  • Don't feel bad being pregnant sucks sometimes

It's very true. This is my second pregancy and I have hated every part of being pregnant with both pregnancies. With my first everyone else seemed to be pregnant at the same time and just loved it and had that "pregnancy glow" and I was lucky if I had brushed my hair that day. Haha. But I think I'm an awesome mom to my daughter and can't wait for this one to be born so one I'm not pregnant anymore LOL and two - so I can be an awesome mommy to this one as well

I totally agree with previous posters, you are experiencing what many of us do. And you are a classic loving mommy who totally judges herself for being human. Sleep, girl! If you can eat better before bed, maybe load up then. I found that eating right before bed helped eith nausea and indigestion though I know many find the opposite. Sometimes I ask myself if I would judge a friend for doing what I do and it re-frames my situation because I tend to give friends more understanding than myself
  • It's good to know there are more women out there that don't enjoy every minute of being pregnant! Haha I also have hard days where I don't want to get out of bed, my appetite is low & I don't feel like putting on decent clothes. But I've also come to find that being pregnant is not easy & can be challenging some days. Hang in there, it will all be worth it in the end!

Don't feel bad! I feel guilty for doing the opposite and eating whatever I want, junk food I never would have eaten before I was pregnant.
