I wanted to know are there usually symptoms before water breaks. I know all pregnancies are different, but I never heard if there are symptoms before water break or could water break without symptoms?
I am not sure of symptoms exactly, but I was laying on the couch when my water broke with #1 and I could feel it coming so I was able to jump off the couch in time.
I was at the hospital and I had a really strong contraction and a lot of pressure, then it literally exploded lol. Scared the crap out of me. I remember telling my SIL that this one felt different because al of the pressure.
My water broke with both of my sons. First I've broke while I was peeing. I didn't have any symptoms. My second son I felt a lot of pressure and discomfort but no contractions until after it broke. My water broke with him as I was walking across my street with my toddler.
My first the doc broke my water. With my second I was sitting at home having a conversation with my husband when I felt a little come out and went to the bathroom and a lot more came out but no prior symptoms that made me think it'd happen.
My water broke when I got up to use the bathroom before I started contractions with my first and I had no "symptoms ". I would say though that I felt like I was carrying so low by that point so I'm guessing the pressure of baby's head made my water break, so I would look out for that kind of feeling like baby is really low in your pelvis.
ok, I didn't know if some felt contractions first or did they come after?
I think it's only like 10% of women have their watering breaking as their first sign of labor. Most women feel contractions first. With both of mine my MW broke my water right before crowning, so it might never break, some babies are born in their sac. With my first there was no sign of labor before contractions started. With my second I was going number 2 a lot before contractions started, sorry TMI!
