Speaking of bottles.

Ok well I know your not but... HELP.

I am breastfeeding, any suggestions on the best bottle for a breastfed baby. I know babies can be picky so I am aware I may need to try multiple bottles. Idk why it didn't occur to me until now(twins are a week old) that I needed to look at bottles and choose some! Eek. Help!

I had my daughter 11 days ago and had to go to the bottle at 5 days due to low supply causing her to drop 13% of her birth weight. We are pumping and supplementing with formula using Dr. Brown bottles. My daughter does not have nipple confusion, she still wants to nurse at least 3-4 times a day. We only offered her Dr. Brown bottles and didn't give her the option of picking. It's the only bottle she's known, so it's good to her.

I like the Tommee Tippee as well
  • I'm breastfeeding and pumping occasionally and we use the joovy boob glass bottles. My daughter has done great with them.

  • Another Tommee Tippee vote.
  • I use the medela bottles that came with my pump and my daughter got the hang of bottles and nursing real quick. She was only confused for a day or two. Now she nurses during the day and gets 2 bottles during the night.
  • We used Tommee Tippee with my daughter and this time we are going to try Dr. Browns glass.

We use Born free glass bottles with Nuk nipples - no confusion with breastfeeding nipple for this baby
  • Tomee tippee here too. Both my kids loved them and had no issues going back and forth between BF and bottle. We had a few Dr. B but the extra part was just one more thing to wash.
  • I havent had my baby yet but i bought a set of the Mam bottles and a set of the playtex ventaire bottles with the breastlike nipples. Hopefully my baby likes them :)

We use Playtex Ventaire because that's what my first son would use.  Tomee Tippee weren't around then.

My only advice is to get the ones you want; open one package and try.  My first son refused multiple bottles before we found one that worked for both of us,  (I started with the ones with the least amount of parts because I didn't want to wash so many parts.  We never made it to Dr Brown's.)  This baby had no problem with the Playtex luckily so we didn't have to buy new bottles.
