stung by scorpion at 34 weeks

I went on a baby moon to phoenix and last night got stung by a tan Scorpion at 3 am while in bed. I called the doctor and he said it shouldn't hurt the baby and that usually you won't go into labor. I however am totally freaked out. Fortunately we were flying home today anyways.

Ugh that's awful! We had our "actual" honeymoon in Phoenix and although lovely, I literally freaked every time I went to put my shoes on, convinced they were full of scorpions.

Holy frightened, mama! I lived in SoCal and I was always worried about snakes. Anytime we went to the desert I always worried about scorpions. :-SS Argh! I'd be totally freaked (pregnant or not) if I were you. You sound so calm!

No I had a total meltdown. Fortunately my husband is a cop and emt so he took over and cleaned the sting while I called the baby doc and then caught and killed the thing. I then proceeded to put couch cushions on the kitchen counter and sleep up there to avoid anymore encounters with any critters.

My coworker was actually stung by a scorpion during her first trimester. Her daughter is 15 now. She jokes that she has some fire in her because of that scorpion bite! Hang in there!
