Hands free bra - lost milk - help

I'm so disappointed. I'm a new mom and am having troubles breastfeeding. I've been pumping and today when I used my hands free bra I noticed I wasn't getting as much milk as I normally do. Turns out it was leaking out the bottom of the shield and the bra absorbed almost all of my milk. What could be the problem? Is the bra not the right size to hold the shields in place? I'm using a medela hands free bra.

  • There are different size shield, Uhm 24mm and 27mm. Make sure you have a good seal when you start your pump and then just check it as your pumping.

I use the simple wishes hands free pump bra. It has double zippers and fully adjustable back. I've never had an issues with it with either child ( I've used it with both boys, 4 1/2 and 7 months ). I bought it over 4 years ago, and only used it 8 days a month with the first and 6 days a month with the 2nd since I work part time. It's just as good as it was years ago. I tried the medela back in 2011, but it wasn't adjustable enough for me and my milk output wasn't as good.
