i am 33 wks and am getting all bags packed to be ready. What should I need for the baby? Clothes, diapers, pacifiers, bottles, breastfeeding pump? I want to make sure I have everything.
Are you planning on breastfeeding? If so you won't need bottles or a pump. If you're planning on pumping right from the get-go, I guess you would need those things? But our hospital has pumps available if needed. The hospital should provide diapers and clothes for your stay.
For baby all we'll be bringing is coming home outfit (the rest of the time baby will wear the hospital T and a diaper), cloth diapers (because we're CDing from birth), and a 2-pack of pacifiers (because our hospital uses a different brand than I'd prefer).

I wouldn't bring all that stuff, honestly. As pp said the hospital has breast pumps you can use if you need them, they give you all new attachments and its a closed system so totally safe. Bottles they can provide as well. Diapers and wipes they will have (might as well stock up on the free ones!). Most hospitals will provide you with pacifiers though some are moving away from that, so might not hurt to bring them. Though if you hope to BF, it's best not to use pacifiers right out of the gate anyway. They will provide you with t-shirts and blankets.
All you should really need is a going home outfit and I always bring the baby book so they can put their footprints in there.
Ask your hospital what they provide. Our hospital provides literally EVERYTHING for baby except pacifiers, cute outfit to go home in, and car seat. When we went on a tour I made sure to ask. They have pumps and everything at our hospital and she said not to bring ours or hubby will be making a ton of trips to the car.
Take home outfit, carseat with a blanket or canopy if you desire, and cloth diapers if that's the route you're taking. That's really all baby will need, everything else is provided.
All I take with is the going home outfit, and my own wipes. Our hospital gives us basically dry paper towels to use as wipes, so I supply mg own. Other than that the hospital supplies everything and I have hubby bring the car seat in when they tell me I'm being discharged.
I read to take the breast pump so you can learn how to use it comfortably with the lactation consultant. So that's what I will do.
This is fantastic advice. I remember feeling overwhelmed whan I used mine for the first time. It was easy to use but I felt so awkward and hormonal weird about it.
I'm having twins so a nicu visit may be in our future so I will definitely be bringing my pump along. Baby doesn't get a separate bag from mine. Just. Few things in my bag that's all we really need. I may brings breast feeding pillow as well. Just because it will be for twins. But idk yet.
I am bringing wipes (hospital provides dry ones that you have to wet with water), a couple Aden & Anais swaddle blankets, going home outfit and a couple other outfits, a couple side snap shirts, nail clippers/file, and the baby book.

Just curious, why nail clippers? Wouldn't the hospital have a file if you really needed one?

My list is a little bit longer than everyone else's. It always depends on which hospital you go to and my hospital doesn't have all of the supplies previously mentioned. I am bringing my own breast pump and supplies for that. Wipes, my favorite PJ's, clothes for baby, boppy pillow, pacifiers, phone charger, car seat, Tylenol for me, and my husband is bringing his Wii U so we can play Mario Kart 8 whenever we get bored. Mostly for him haha. Maybe we are the opposite of minimalists I guess but we would like to be comfortable while there.
I am bringing a pillow. Hospital pokies are not that comfortable, and after giving birth, you'll want to be as comfortable as possible. Even more so if you have to stay several nights
