The Bump fruit babies...are ill measured, lol.

Does anyone else find that the way the bump compares your baby to a fruit to be grossly inaccurate? Like at 35 weeks the baby is the size of a coconut which seems small to me compared to the often bigger pineapple it was a few weeks ago. Or how at 38wks you'd be a watermelon, which is the biggest fruit I know, and at 40 weeks your a jackfruit?? Its so weird, who came up with the fruit measurement system that's off?? LOL!

Lol my husband loved seeing how my bump is being compared to fruits. I have to say though, jackfruits are typically bigger than watermelon.

This is why I like the Pregnant Chicken emails. Favorite sizes from her so far: Barbie doll. Chiuaha. Sack of sugar with a pound of butter attached to it.

Pregnant chicken is also where we got ewok from (week 10 or something). We loved it cause we are total geeks, but would not have otherwise known baby was as big as a tiny tiny ewok figurine trying to fight off a chipmunk. Just a totally ridiculous image

Weeks 33 - 36 all have the same weight and length range ... I think its silly.

Yeah, it's really more helpful in the beginning, I think, to help imagine what's going on in there. I don't think I've ever seen a newborn that I would compare to a watermelon or a pumpkin (besides, both of those are way all over the place with size!), and I'd never heard of some of them even though I thought I was fairly worldly (winter melon, durian, and jackfruit, for example). I liked the comparisons up to 30 weeks or so I think, now they are just silly!
