Good morning, insomnia! I've been up since 5am, (sarcastic) hooray! :-q
Hungry, but don't want to get out of bed. Also, not looking forward to the post meal discomfort I have been having recently, it sure takes the joy out of sustaining myself and baby. And my hips hurt from (not) sleeping on my sides. Other than that, the day just started, so doing OK so far!
All of what you just said is pretty much the same for me and add rib pain. Almonds and popcorn are my go to foods due to discomfort. I'm getting mad at myself for feeling like I really want to skip church this morning because I'm so tired....... Damn catholic guilt. Ugh.
I'm going to scream if ppl keep using this forum as their personal google. Good thing it's the internet and none of you will hear me. DH will think I'm loony. Lol
Yet another single solitary thread about a symptom. Put up almost 20 minutes after this one. #-o I was trying to save us from that.
Anyways, let me add in for myself that irritation that DH is sleeping soundly, lightly snoring, and its pissing me off. Maybe I *will* get up and go bang dishes around in the kitchen. ("Oops, I'm sorry, hun. Did I wake you?")
I'm laying in bed because I don't want to get up. As a result, I'm becoming insanely jealous of my husband, who was all stretched out on his stomach (how I love to sleep) and is now all sprawled on his back. Meanwhile I'm trying to find a position with my giant pillow that isn't killing my hips. Haven't had a ton of hip pain but I sure am now. So I suppose my symptoms are hip pain and jealousy. I'm planning on getting a chocolate chip bagel with cream cheese as soon as I have the energy. Someone posted about craving chocolate...I'm right there with you!
Insomnia - Up between 3am and 6am every night for the last week. Luckily DH was out of town for the last week so I could stare at my phone/watch tv/reposition as many times as I needed without worry of disturbing anyone (except the puppy who is very forgiving). Jealousy- DH is back home now and fell asleep at 11:30 last night...snored all night while I watch him jealously bc he'd already taken THREE naps during the day due to being tired from traveling (read: choosing to stay up til 2:45 am even though he had to be at the airport by 7:45am)...and now at 8:45 am he's STILL snoring away after a very restful NINE HOURS of sleep and I've been up (after my 3 hour insomnia stint until 6am) since 8am taking care of the puppy! How is he going to survive the lack of sleep that accompanies a newborn? Am I going to be stuck doing it all just like I am with the puppy? Somehow he doesn't understand why I'm pissed at him when he wakes up because "he hasn't even done anything"....MY POINT EXACTLY YOU HAVEN'T DONE ANYTHING BUT SLEEP AN UNGODLY AMOUNT OF TIME!!! Sorry for the rant...
Apparently peeing myself and thinking it's my water breaking.... Does that count as a symptom. Not to mention the worst cramps ever... Been at hospital since 6:30. Shift change so they haven't gotten to me yet. So far it was not my water breaking. Checking urine now....
Back to the cramps. I'm sure it's contractions but I could be wrong. They are painful. Also heavy discharge. I'm assuming it's more mp.
@mrs1374a ugh. That sucks. There was a stomach flu making its way around my hood about a month or so ago, hopefully there isn't one near you! Rest up and get your fluids!
@kissell I read your post about thinking your water broke! I totally would have probably done the same. If the cramps are contractions you're in the right place! Good luck!
Flipping headache!!! It will not go away!!!! Church?? It's debatable this morning. . And I feel guilty about that too @klkonwi (Baptist guilt, for me). Reflux, hip and back pain as usual as well. Debating on skipping my one cup of coffee this morning to see if that helps with the miserable episodes of tachycardia I've been experiencing. I figure I already have a headache, so. . .
@mrs1374a Yikes at having a stomach bug at this stage in the game!!! Sounds miserable! I hope you recover quickly!
@mellymar On the monitor the nurse said they were contractions but they were irregular so back home for me it is. I would definitely say contractions are a super jacked up form of period cramps that also hurts the lower back.. And I am still having them and the discharge. (Eww) And the pee that I thought was water is still coming every now and then but baby is so squished on the bladder I can't help but leak so I broke out the postpartum maxi pads lol. I can't wait for DH to see me waddle with these things on!! Glad to be home though. I was so unprepared. Next time I will shower and brush my teeth and have my bags all ready and in the car.
I'm sending some good vibes to you all! Hope you feel better soon!
I am still having the back and rib pain. I think baby boy is getting bigger and is just taking up space. Even an apple and peanut butter is too much to eat right now. Baby boy's eviction notice will be coming in the next few weeks
Is anyone flipping out with how close we all are to our EDDs? I'm 37 w 4 d. The house is a mess and there are so many loose ends at work! Even my friends are freaking out with me... Ha! But DH is calm as a cucumber... So jealous!
Again sending some positive vibes to you all! We are almost there!
I truly don't understand how every hour I wake up to go to the bathroom at night I pee an insane amount! Every time!! Yes I chug water during the day and use the restroom a lot but i don't even take a sip of water in the middle of the night. Is my body saving it all up for the twilight hours to torture me? What he hell!! I'm going to say cranky is one of my symptoms today haha. And of course I'm tired. Ooh oh a freaky symptom I had yesterday was during dinner my tongue, upper lip and front teeth gums went numb and tingly! I wasn't eating anything unusual - leftovers even! Dr Google said it was nerve/spine pressure that could be related to the baby's size or fluid retention. Watch, after everyone "joked" I must be having twins bc I'm so big, I'm going to deliver the 14lb baby and make the news.
I can't stop throwing up and having diarrhea. I haven't thrown up since 23 weeks. uhhhh
Hoping you feel better! I ended up throwing up yesterday after an hour of feeling nauseous in bed. I personally don't think I have a stomach bug but rather that it's just 3rd tri morning sickness from having my stomach squished by LO. But if you think it could be something else, I would definitely say to call your OB.
As for me: More gas pains...TMI but I'm hoping I just have to take a very large BM and it will be over. Also, I can't sleep at all lately...so hoping they decide to take her out tomorrow because I am so ready...
Up since 3:30am due to more thunderstorms. It has been nonstop for weeks with no signs of letting up. Around 8am a house a few streets over was hit my lightning and burned down. I'm super paranoid as this is the second house in the area in a few weeks to be hit and we are a high point as well. My anxiety doesn't help. I'm having my baby on Thursday if he doesn't come on his own before then and I'm just super stressed out.
Maybe I'm just tired. And hormonal. I'm going to try to go back to bed.
Definitely can relate to those of you waking every hour to pee, shifting every minute in an attempt to get comfortable...
Yes, but I'll add that the past few days have brought on tremendous body aches. My calves are so sore I can barely walk; my lower back hurts incredibly much; and I just want out of my body! Oh, and smells are driving me CRAZY like they did in the first trimester. Everything smells like sewage to me. Yuck!
My lower back is so sore I can barely walk around the house. It's gotten progressively worse over this past week and is to the point now where I'm not sure I'll be able to go to work this week. Feeling mentally defeated.
I told my doctor about this at our appt last Thurs and she gave me a prescription for a mild muscle relaxer to take at night - those have been no help though so I think I'm done with that. I just feel helpless and am not loving sitting around.
I'm sure we're all tired- but today it's like on a whole new level for me. I am so tired that I can barely keep my eyes open and its giving me a headache/nausea not to have them closed. I know I need to shower, do the dishes, clean the kitchen, start dinner, water the outdoor plants, walk the dog. But I can't even move my toes right now. Sleeeeeeeep
Lots of RLP last night, and heartburn today. We walked to church today, which was nice, but the baby hasn't dropped yet so I was super out of breath when we got there. I got asked about a million times if I'd had the baby yet - obviously not, but it's nice that everyone is excited for us my parents and siblings are coming today with all the stuff we couldn't fit in our car from the shower my mom threw for us a few weeks ago, so after today, the nursery will officially be DONE!
So after my sudden burst of energy and feeling extremely rested all day yesterday, I guess I was too active or something, because today I'm beyond exhausted. I'm so out of energy I feel like I have to remind my body to breathe. I only got up twice to pee last night and went to bed super early so I got plenty of sleep. My body just doesn't want to move. If I didn't have to pee every few minutes I would probably just lay in bed all day long. Buttttt I have WAY too much to do around the house today. So I'm gonna lay back down for an hour or so and then slowly start to be productive. In small intervals. Maybe....
Oh and DH keeps making fun of me saying there's no way I have to pee again. Low and behold it's like I barely make it in time. Every time. How is that possible?!!
I feel like I'm literally falling apart. I can't stop gagging, my stomach is a complete disaster, and I am losing everything that I touch. Just this morning, I misplaced an envelope with $300 in it. Seriously, brain? It was on the counter. What did I do? I found shoes in the pantry last night. What is going on, body? I've still got 3-5 weeks. I can't be like this for another month and still be expected to survive.
1. Insomnia 2. Insane need to have my whole house clean. 3. Extreme pelvic pain from hauling crap around the house and scrubbing all my walls, floors, baseboards. 4. Insane fatigue from cleaning. 5. Anxiety over unfinished cleaning. 6. Repeat
Can't wait to go back to work tomorrow and break the cycle.
And on the water broke breaking thing, I always thought it was ridiculous to think your water broke when you actually peed yourself but I was simultaneously moving wet laundry to dryer, starting a shower and needing to be pee. Distracted by my sons poop in the toddler potty, I reached down to grab the potty, squishing my bladder and thought for a second my water broke. Sorry for laughing at y'all. I get it and would have thought it was go time if I hadn't already experience actual water breaking!
Day at the zoo today with family- too much walking in this lovely 95 degree weather. Had horrible cramping with random sharp pains stopping me in my tracks. Ended up drenched in sweat, swollen, miserable and in a discusting pregnant fog. I dont want to do anything ever again at this point. Bleh.
In all reality im a really fun,happy-go-lucky little gal. Im so over feeling like a "party-pooper".
Hips hurt and sometimes I can feel and/or hear a pop kinda like your back popping but in the hips is that normal? Boobs are more sore and TMI but over night my nipples got really dark I don't remember them getting dark last pregnancy. Almost over!
So angry and irritable. Luckily I saw my trainer and a good work out helped tone down my rage. Jeesh. I was ready to punch my husband. Some hip pain and of course diarrhea plus heartburn. I hope everyone else is feeling better!
I'm really surprised as how much LO is still moving. I thought I had read that they move less as they get cramped in (I'm 37 weeks tomorrow) but nope, she's more active that ever! I'm sincerely hoping she's still head down at my next appt!

Same thing here. I'm 37 w 4 d and I am still surprised about how much movement I feel.
Contractions 20-28 mins apart majority of the day. Feels like my hips and thighs are on fire, lower back is in utter agony and lower pelvic/uterus is sawing itself in half. Trying to walk it out is the worst so forget that advice... Who gave me that advice... Whoever it was screw you!! Jk (not really) I actually read that a while back.. Every time it happens I try to just sway my hips slowly and softly on whatever I'm sitting on. DH says it looks like I'm trying to grind it. Focused breathing is not really helping for me. I just tell myself over and over just a few more seconds.... Just a few more seconds. And then it's over and I can breathe

If you have an exercise ball handy when these come, they are awesome. Sit and sway/roll around. Also it helped me when I used a specific word (peace...from hypnobabies) or sound to release the energy, like humming or moaning. Hope you have some relief soon.
