Cervix is 1.6 cm, doctor won't do cerclage because of twins, but is doing a FFN test and started progesterone. I feel defeated.....

I'm on pelvic rest, she wants me to keep working but on restrictions so I don't have DVT's and other issues

Get a second opinion asap! She is not being proactive at all! Is this a mfm specialist or perinatologist? I would see one immediately. I lost triplets due to incompetent cervix before. This time I was told that it's automatic hospital bedrest for me or sny mom whose cervix gets below 2.5 at my clinic. The average is 3.5. You are way below that.

I know a lot of doctors don't believe in bedrest, but please put yourself on it at home at least. If something terrible happened at least you'll know in your heart you did everything you could! I was never put on bedrest with my current pregnancy, but I have been taking help taking care of my son (from my mil, which was really hard f or ne at first), and I pretty much don't leave the couch or bed. It's VERY hard. I had to give up a lot of control in my life and I hardly ever get out, but I know that I've done everything I can. I will be praying for you! For you and your babies. For peace (I know must be stressed!), and for making sure you are receiving the best care and that you'll be able to trust in your doctor(s).

At 20 weeks I dropped from 4cm to 2.3cm. I was on "pelvic rest" by the MFM but put myself on modified bed rest. Hubby and I discussed a plan. I went to work, sat all day at work ( except bathroom breaks every hour) then came home and laid in bed or on the couch. Stairs twice a day only. We told both our parents and jow my mom comes every week with food and cleans for me. My dad walks the dog. I also got a support belt (the cradle). At 22 weeks I was 2.6cm, 24 weeks 3.1cm, and 26 weeks 3.9cm. We have not stopped this bed rest because it is working for me. I am now 31 weeks, no pain and still working.

I am 25 weeks with twins and just measured 2cm and all they gave me was progesterone. I go back in on Wednesday for a follow-up. My Mil is a retired ob and said I should be in bed rest but my actual ob hasn't mentioned that yet. I feel slightly defeated too but let's follow our doctors' orders and keep those babies cooking for as long as possible!
