No really I'm pregnant ..... Seriously

Last night was SIL rehearsal dinner (AMAZING food!!!!) and towards the end of the evening I was talking with DHs great Aunt and Uncel who i had spent a large portion of the evening with. The course of the conversation turned to whether or not I was working (I'm a SAHM, which is not approved of by DHs family ). As we were talking they kept mentioning when I was going back to work so
I just finally said "well it'll be a while with since we have the new one on the way " . Aunt says "sure you are" like she was humoring me. So I smile kind of pat my belly and reply "no, I really am pregnant". Aunt again says "suurrreee you are". Repeat the above about six times before I just gave up.
The whole family knows we are expecting and I looked obviously pregnant so I have no idea what she was even thinking. DHs great Uncel did add that at least I have my degree so I can return to work when I want..... Thanks?? I knew that but thanks.
It was awkward at best, but DH and I did have a good laugh after. I can't wait to see what they have to say today at the wedding.

Don't let that negative crap get to you. Being a stay at home mom is one of the hardest jobs on the planet and it's something to be proud of. I respect you and other stay at home moms sooo much. It's a 24 hour, 7 days a week job with no breaks and no vacation that people don't appreciate the way they should. I'm glad you and your SO just laughed off their ignorant comments, they really are comments that should be laughed at because they hold no weight.
