38 weeks: Just lost my mucus plug!

I'm really excited! FTM here and lost my mucus plug about a hour ago. Maybe because I'm excited, but he's been moving a lot the past 30 minutes. How long did it take after your mucus plug came out did it take for your first to get here??

There are a ton of posts about plugs. There is no timeline. I've been loosing mine for 5 days and still pregnant. 40+6

Lost part of mine a few weeks ago. Still pregnant. Losing your mucus plug does not mean labor is near.

Hate to break it to you but I lost mine over 2 weeks ago. Still pregnant. 40w3d.

If you had a lot of bloody show then I've heard labour is usually within 48 hours. But even that is not a guarantee.

I'm 39 +4 days and I lost mine last Friday. The doctor told me it didn't mean anything in regards to going into labor sooner rather than later.. I was pretty discouraged.

I lost mine Wednesday , with bleeding. Still pregnant. Doesn't mean a thing.

Agree with everyone else. I've been losing mine for about 4 days now and have also had strong contractions. It seems that you really can't count on anything to predict when your baby will get here until your in the delivery room and the doctor is telling you to push.

Also, I think this is the first time I've seen "mucus plug" and hearts in the same post, lol.

Lost mine 3 weeks ago. FTM too! Got super excited and I'm still pregnant. 40+3. Wish it meant more

Well I'm still excited! Even if nothing is happening immediately, I have a sign that after 8.5 months something is happening and I am that much closer to spreadin those giant thunder thighs and meeting my baby boy.

I'm a FTM too and have been slowly losing my mucus plug for a few weeks. I'm 39 weeks still no labor yet so I don't think it's a really good indicator, my doctor said that as well.
