Thats what we have ( for girl). My DH's very traditional american family does not give middle names to girls. We didnt plan on any but something happened and we ended up with initial. This kid wont have any middle name at all either
It's tradition in my DH's family to just use "O" as the middle initial. I'm not crazy about it, but am willing to roll with it. I may insist on a christening name though
That is what we are planning on doing. Since my great-grandfather down to my brother's son, at least one son has the middle initial M. I'm going to do it for my first son too. I really wanted to honor my grandfather who I was very close with, but am not very fond of his first name. This way I can also honor my dad and brother too. Plus my husband likes it.
I have a friend that does not have a middle name and it can cause issues when filling out paperwork because they expect you to have one. Sometimes she has to make my a middle initial because it is a required field on the form. So I would vote for an initial over no middle name.
Re: tell me your opinion
You could probably do something like "Jay" where the middle name spells the middle intial?
