Induction process started!

I went in for my 38 week appointment and my blood pressure has been high over the past few weeks and was higher today so doctor made this decision to induce. He said okay head over to labor and delivery!

Last night I kept thinking lets just get this show on the road and right after he said that I just burst into tears out of fear! Gosh I'm so scared of the whole process. I know it will most likely (hopefully) be over in 24 hours and my little girl will be here but as a FTM its just terrifying! I am adopted and my birth mom had me at 14. I just keep thinking if she could do this at 14 then I can do it at 22!

You will do great. I was induced with my daughter 8 yrs ago. I was chatting with my mom for hours than contractions started and less than two hours later I had my Lo in my arms. Hope a have a smooth and easy labor

U will do fine, I was induced with my daughter laylah three years ago, I was 41 weeks pregnant, it took a long time but she came out safe and sound

I'm in the exact same boat as you. I was just told the same thing and I'm not on my way. I'm TERRIFIED! I was sobbing an hour ago. I did not want to be induced at all. But, I guess it is what it is at this point. I'm hoping for the best. Good luck to you!

Good luck you will do great. I'm a ftm i was induced, had my baby this morning at 7:23. Through it all, in the end it is definitely worth it

They want to induce me by 40 weeks bc I'm 39 years old. My cervix is still closed at 38 weeks. I'm terrified too. Ftm. Just scared of the pain and the whole hospital stuff.
