In so much pain, idk what to do :(

I'm two days away from 40 weeks and earlier tonight well about 8pm my lower back started bothering me as aching and I was sitting in a chair when this started, the pain went fromrighg side lower back to the right hip area to the pelvic bone area. Nothing sharp like a contraction but it's been constant as it is now 320am. I can't find a way to try to sleep because any way I lay is painful as well as sitting up is painful and it's given me a upset stomach. I've called the doctors and he said it's just the baby pushing since I haven't had any contractions. I just don't know what to do. I feel like it has to be something with labor? I went to the doctors Thursday and I was 2cm dialated and 70% effaced and now it's Saturday am. I'm just confused I guess because of the pain I am in and with what the doctor on call said it was. If I pain is still bad in a few hours then I think I'm just going to go to the hospital?
