TMI... but I have a ?

Okay, this is my first pregnancy and I just noticed today that my private areas are super dark. Is this normal? Will it turn back to the regular color after birth?? Even my inner thighs near my privates are dark. My armpit is not dark... nipple area is not too dark either... anyone else notice this??

    Yup sounds about rite! I know its weird ryte but they say those are signs of boys also the neck area gets dark so far mine hasnt, but with ds it did big time

    I have heard it referred to a blue twinkies! The increased blood flow to the region can cause the color changes and slightly swollen appearance.

    You said the neck area? I thought I was going crazy! There are dark areas on my neck that have never been there before. At first I thought I bruised myself some how!

    @MeganKGarcia Yes mam!! I wonder if its true about it being a boy thing...well that's an old wives tale but wat are u ladies having? @nrocke129 u made me laugh with the Twinkie bid lolzz and yes omg the swelling is baffling!

    It's due to increased blood flow down there. Your lady bits will go back to their normal color, don't worry.

    With my first pregnancy I had a book called the girlfriends guide to pregnancy. I was laughing thru the whole book. The blue Twinkie reference is from there. You know all the crazy questions we have on the boards well it explains it kinda how most of it is answered on here. My aunt who was pregnant around the same time as me also read it and we would talk about it when my uncle was around. He was weirded out about some of our conversations.

    Whew! Thanks ladies for the info. Blue twinkies made me laugh... haha ... btw... I am having a girl. Found out from a private ultrasound place at 15 weeks. I hope it doesn't change at my 20 week ultrasound from the docs.
