"Cold-pressed"/"High Pressure Processed" juice?!

I'm a bit of a health nut and love juice of all kinds! I seen Bolt-House Farms has a new juice out called "1915" and it says it's "Cold-Pressed" and "High Pressure Processed" and I wasn't sure if it would be safe to consume while pregnant . I gave up my Whole-Foods juice already ! Anyone know if this its "safe" or not ? I can't find much about it online
Thanks!

  • I've actually written to them in the past to find out information about one of their products. Maybe call or email them? They were very helpful, but it did take a little while for them to get back to me.

  • I was wondering this too! Is it because we are supposed to eat/drink pasteurized stuff? If so I haven't been so prefect about that.
  • I am obsessed with Suja which are cold pressed! You can def enjoy while pregnant. Find them at whole foods!

  • I thought most cold pressed juices were not pasteurized and thus not safe during pregnancy
  • If you invest in a juicer you can make all your own delicious juices without any worries!
  • I totally understand why we aren't supposed to eat things like lunch meats and unpasteurized things.. for the most part I follow the "rules." But every once in a while I eat my dang tukey sandwhich! The only outbreaks of listeria I've heard of so far have been in the things they never warned us about, hummus, ice cream, etc. So even if you find out the juice isn't pasturized or low risk enough, I'd drink it every once in a while anyways :)
  • I drink cold pressed juice from Glory Juice Co at least once a week. Most things(sushi, unpasteurized cheese, soft boiled eggs etc.) are not recommended as there is a risk of food borne illness that would make you sick but possibly your baby couldnt fight it off and could be lethal to her. It is a risk tolerance issue as these things are not likely to make you sick but if you have low risk tolerance why take the chance is the attitude many women take. All I know is I'm gonna ng to really appreciate full food choice freedom when I have it again. :) t
