Re: ***Second Trimester Check In May 13th***

  • Hey ladies!! 24w6d today. I have an appt tomorrow with my obgyn. I guess he will order my glucose test now? My heartburn has been so bad I'm going to ask for meds. Tums just aren't cutting it now. Water gives me heartburn. Wtf? Nursery is coming along nicely. My step daughter got me the hooded towels from my registery for Mother's Day. It was really thoughtful.

Qotw: we opened our pool this past week and I put all my seeds in for my flowers. I'm a big gardener. This year I'm holding back because I don't think I'll have the energy by July. I'm going to put in my peppers and tomatoes this week.

  • 25 wks today with b/g twins! Had an MFM appt today - fetal echoes and growth scan. Everything is "perfect" per MD. Fluid levels are good, cervical length is good, growth is good.

Baby boy has flipped and is now head down too, and is tipping the scales at 1#11oz. Baby girl is 1#9oz and holding her own. They're moving like crazy. And I figured out I can get them to kick on command with sour gummies :) glucose tolerance test in 2 wks...dum dum dummmmmm...

QOTW- @Justone13 you seriously put me to shame with your skills. We're mid-move, so I'm not getting to enjoy any outdoor time right now. And I'm outdoorsy as in I like drinking on patios. Lawn chairs are my friend.

  • Hi all! I'm 26 weeks 6 days! The big 27 week milestone is tomorrow! The doctors in the hospital keep telling me every week is a week to celebrate! I've been hospitalized for 18 days today. Time goes slow daily but overall feels like it's going fast. All of my vitals and blood work still look good. Baby looks good on the heart rate monitor and sonos. Still low to no fluid but he's measuring about a week ahead. Everything pretty much stable (knock on wood). Just praying I can make it to 34 weeks or as close as possible!!

QOTW: Well I'm inside in the hospital 24/7 so I go by weather.com lol. It was in the 80s the last few days but now it's supposed to be in the 50/60s for the next few days. My husband is doing all of the outside things at home...landscaping, opening to pool, etc :)

  • I am 25 weeks today! I have my glucose test coming up on 6/1, and everything else is going well. My major discomfort right now is my underwear. I hate them! No matter what kind I wear I feel like they move around and are totally irritating me. We are working on the nursery. My mom is painting a princess mural on the wall ( she does this professionally). We are also waiting to order our furniture, because the set I want doesn't come out until 6/22.

QOTW: I have been spending  a lot of time outside walking, taking DS to the park and sitting outside eating ice cream at night :).

Next appointment on 5/26 - full anatomy scan with the MFM. I'm 18w6d!!!

I had to go to L&D last night for contractions 6-8 minutes apart and lasting 30-45 seconds. By the time I got there, they were 4 minutes apart and 45-50 seconds long. But they checked my cervix and saw no progression after contractions all day. This is normal for me (irritable uterus and previous pregnancy history of this kind of thing - contractions are regular and timeable with no progression) so they said as long as they don't get worse and I'm not bleeding, to just drink extra fluids and take it easy.

    Hello!

Please add me to the check in. I'm 14+3 today with one LO. No clue what I'm having yet of course. My due date is November 10th.

Next appt is Monday and I can't wait to hear a heart beat to calm these overactive nerves. Perhaps they will allow me to have an ultrasound for good measure?! :)

QOTW: Our anniversary is this weekend so we plan to hang out downtown (Chicago) and take in the scenery. Hoping the weather cooperates.
  • fjamil1fjamil1 member
Last dat in 2nd trimester. I will be 28 weeks tomorrow and so happy to have made it this far. I have OB and MFM appt. on Monday. Both babies have been really active, and DH can feel them kick away during the night.

QOTD: We are going house hunting this weekend. Should be fun.
  • I am 18 weeks today and so far everything is still normal - I'm not going to find out the gender until the baby is born. I'm battling exhaustion, so I pretty much just work and sleep right now. Hoping this passes pretty quickly. Since I'm a diesel mechanic, I do work outside a fair amount, though, and it is getting much nicer here in Baltimore, though early mornings can still be cold, and it seems to be worse while I'm pregnant. I am wishing I wasn't going to be third trimester in the summer, though.

@DSculley - I am so glad to hear you're doing well and he's still hanging in there! I can't imagine how hard it must be for you. I know that's right, though, every week is a huge win and you've made it almost 3 already! You're in my thoughts, hoping you make it to 34 with a happy, healthy son.
