anyone else experiencing discomfort/mild pain in your belly after walking? This is a new thing for me, I'm only 24 weeks and I just starting to show, so I don't understand why it's even happening.
I had this happen a few days ago. It wasn't painful, but after walking about 4 miles my belly had completely contracted and was super hard. It just felt different and freaked me out for a little bit till it calmed down and relaxed again.
I've had this happen a few times after shopping for a long time or walking the dog ... For me, I think each time I had experienced a braxton hicks contraction. As soon as I slowed down or stopped walking it went away. But I do find walking a lot more uncomfortable than I used to, especially when baby is hanging out really low.
Yup! Lol was just telling my SO other about this happening yesterday. I had to hold the side that was hurting and stop every once in awhile...Ahh the joys of pregnancy lol
This is my 3rd and I'm pretty much a walking contraction. If I'm walking, my stomach is hard. Started at 16 weeks this time. Doesn't hurt, just feels tight and annoying. Dr said it was fine. Just drink water and rest when you need to.
Yes I was just speed walking on the treadmill this morning and it felt like it was causing some round ligament pain or maybe like a contraction. Definitely uncomfortable, maybe only a tiny bit painful.
I walk between 8-14 miles a day for my job, but I have yet to experience this! I'm at 21 weeks, and I am only continuing my job for another month because obvi I don't want to be walking that much before long, so hopefully I will get through with it before I start having Braxton-Hicks or too much discomfort. I'd say just take it easy mama, I make sure to take breaks so I'm not on my feet for more than 2 hours at a time
I took my toddler to sesame place today and totally felt this pain and discomfort in my belly on the way out. Then we went to lunch I couldn't walk well at all. Makes me nervous about going down the shore in June because we walk up and down the boards. I think it's normal though, I'm a STM and was always uncomfortable last time.
Felt the belly soreness (BH) this morning while walking around the mall. It gets more uncomfortable if I haven't used the bathroom in a while. Didn't help either that I really worked out my legs the other day and I'm waddling from that too! I probably looked 8 months PG because of that, haha.. (I'm only 25 weeks)
I get winded and a little bit over exhausted then I feel like I've hit a mighty hard wall and need a sit down for a good half an hour. Usually my belly gets a bit rounder but not hard when this occurs. Happens any time I do a larger than usual amount of walking. I think my endurance has been decreasing more quickly than I had expected and this is my body telling me that.
I'm almost 23 weeks and I end up with lower back ache when I walk around too much. I've had the same problem since early on. I've noticed if I wear maternity underwear that goes over my bump that it seems to help my back a little.
My problem with walking is that the baby must be bobbing on my bladder because ten minutes into my daily walk, I need to go to the bathroom, even when I try to time what I drink beforehand. If I had to pick the most annoying factor of the 2nd Tri, I'm going to go with this one. I live in the damn bathroom! Anyone drink something before heading out and realize they have to wait for it to pass through? I've sat in my living room waiting before heading out on a cross-town trip!
I had some pain after I started my speed walking regime again. If the weather is nice and you have pool access, I highly recommend doing some exercises in the water. Since you uterus becomes 'lighter' it relieves some of the pressure on your abdominal muscles.
All the time. I'm 23 weeks with twins and having braxton hicks VERY frequently. But definitely while I'm walking. Like others, I just try to take it easy when it happens and drink water.
Re: Uncomfortable after walking a lot?
Pain near or at your umbilicus could mean something. Can't remember what it's called.
Didn't help either that I really worked out my legs the other day and I'm waddling from that too! I probably looked 8 months PG because of that, haha..
