What's good today?

For me, my boss let me work from home so no 2.5 hours of commuting time today!

Also, I've been looking for a cheap portable bassinet and I was NOT going to pay much for one giving the lifespan of it. Nothing at yard sales in the past few weeks. Lo and behold on my town's virtual yard sale Facebook site someone was giving one away. As in, for FREE. I somehow got to her first and am picking it up at 3 pm. Woooooooot! So happy to have an option to being LO into our room for the first weeks and have something smaller than a pack n play for trips to relatives houses!

My thankful thread is similar. My sister and cousin both have girls...and they have sent me TONS of baby clothes. Slightly used, but they all look brand new. I seriously won't have to buy any clothes until she's after 12 months. I'm extremely happy about that !

Got my hair cut for the first time in a year today! I never found a new hair stylist after we moved out here, because I adored the one I had at home and at first I naively thought I'd just go to her whenever we went back to visit family. Well, I've now accepted that I just don't have time to squeeze that in and the ends of my hair were looking horrible so I finally caved today and tried the salon up the street from our apartment. The stylist did a fantastic job and the price was just as good - only $16! So glad I found a new salon, I'm never letting my hair go for this long without being cut again!

I am so blown away by the generosity of some people! A customer of mine brought me in this huge bag of clothing that she went out last night and bought. There is a ton of adorable clothing in there in all different sizes-I love it! It was totally unexpected and so sweet of her to do it and she's not the first person to do that for me!

Speaking of "freebies" kind of at least... We have an older sectional that we have been meaning to sell since we built our new house this past fall, I sold it today on one of the Facebook resale pages for $150, and we are going to get crabs with that $. Lol! I love crabs, wel any seafood

The group at my workplace hosted a baby shower for myself and another friend/ coworker (we have the same due date, she's also a fellow bumpie!). Roughly 20-25 people attended for a potluck, it was great.

We work with such a supportive and thoughtful team! Feeling blessed

My best friend bought her plane ticket to come visit me and LO for forth of July!!!! Haven't seen her since last summer so I'm super stoked about that!!!

Also, I get super ridiculously excited every time I open up the threads and see a new birth announcement! I love seeing healthy and happy babies! And a little over three weeks to go until my due date, so it makes it that much more real that she could really come any day now! I'm ready when you are baby girl :x

I had a work shower today too! Plus one of the gals brought me in a huge box of hand-me-downs. So many cute baby clothes I'm not sure what i'm going to do with them all... but feeling overwhelmingly blessed!!

I'm also really excited about ordering DH his first father's day gift... a Packer's shirt that says #1 dad, plus a couple Packer's outfits for DS (sized to fit during football season, of course

I'm so thankful for my family, friends and coworkers. I've had 2 surprise diaper parties throw for us leaving us with close to 2000 diapers and 2500 wipes!

I'm thankful my husband unloaded and reloaded the dishwasher without me having to ask tonight. It's the little things. Also thankful his weekend trip away to Kansas was cancelled. Now we can have family time together!

After controlled crying to my boss on the phone and only a slightly hormental email to the #2 in our department (Who once looked at me and said, "There is nothing in this world scarier than an angry pregnant lady. Nothing."), I have insurance coverage AND insurance cards for after June 1!!!! This has been a 5 month negotiation process and I couldn't be more relieved!

I am thankful that my boss/company has allowed me to work from home for four weeks before I go on maternity leave - I could not imagine sharing the bathroom with anyone except my husband these days. Also thankful that my husband is exceptional at cooking (and cleaning, plus some :x

), on weekends when he is up to cook my only responsibility is stating my crave.

I tell him all the time; judging from the husband he is he will be an amazing father!

I am thankful that my FIL is,doing well and that since I was forbidden from hanging out at the germy hospital I came and spent the weekend with my family since DH wasn't going to be home much. I got to see my mom's whole side of the family! Friday night went with my aunt and uncle to see Pitch Perfect 2 (amazing BTW) and got to see their 3 teenage kiddos which are more like little siblings to me. Yesterday I spent shipping with my mom, sister, and niece for my hospital bag, and last night went out with everyone else in the fam for my Papa's 83rd birthday! Spent the night with my parents and am going down to my other aunt and uncles this morning because his lab had puppies last night! Can't wait to get home and see DH but it's been a long week and being with my family just soothed my soul.

I'm thankful for DH's family. They truly are the best and even when we were dating I was immediately part of their family. My SIL and I work in the same building and Monday my back pain was so unbearable that I couldn't drive myself home so she drove me to her house and called DH to come and take me to the doctor. And my MIL has been wonderful too. She always tells me that I look great and am doing great. She also marked dates that DH has training over the summer so she can be sure she is in town to help me with the baby. I have so much love for his family! They are wonderful!

Thankful that DH and I found peace with one another and a compromise on how much time he will spend on projects on the weekend so we can have more family time before baby arrives. I also want to get out for a little me time so we talked about including that too. To start that mission off I am going out with some old coworkers to happy hour tomorrow and found a sitter for DS. I am trading baby sitting for a lesson in how to make French Macaroons. Today was a good day.

@MrsWiggleWaggle today I'm actually thankful for rain - we haven't had any for a few weeks and since we just planted our garden it could use it! (Yeah the garden I will supposedly be maintaining during my pregnancy leave!)

DH and I went to Wal-Mart last night to finish up the hospital bag prep. I bought a ridiculous amount of junk food and it's been taunting me in our living room ever since we got back last night. But we also bought a ton of frozen fruit for my beloved smoothies so I'm going to be sipping on those pretty much non-stop until that runs out and won't be feeling guilty at all because they're so healthy! And we are now officially hospital ready, so, schoolwork aside, I am ready for this baby to come and feel much less stressed than I did yesterday morning. So grateful to DH for making relieving my anxiety a priority, even after a long day at work!

Today is my anniversary so thankful for my parents watching out daughter and some fried pickles I get to enjoy with my hubby!

My husband had a surprise baby shower at work... How sweet is that? I am so amazed at their generosity ... He said he felt embarrassed because he had no idea how to react but he was also so touched by their kindness and support... I keep thinking about how funny it must have been as he was opening up dresses and girly things...so grateful for thoughtful people!

My parents are here for a week!! They're wonderful. And hilariously, my mom forgot to tell me she booked another flight back on June 9 (LO is due June 5). My MIL is also going to be here, so DH is calling it Grandma Fest. I was worried about MIL being here so soon after (or during?!) the birth, but the two of them together are wonderful, so now I am excited not stressed. They were amazing to prep for our wedding and they will be wonderful, helpful grandmas. Getting excited!!
