To anyone looking for new bras

I have been holding out on buying a new bra, but i couldn't wait anymore. I went to Target and didn't have any luck, there was not a lot of selection in my store. I didn't want a nursing bra, but all the other ones were too small or ill fitting. I went to Macy's and they had a lot to look through, but I did find 2 that I really like. One is by warners and has extra side coverage so no bulge there. The other one is by Maidenform. Both wire free and very comfortable. Best part is, they were $40 each, but I got both for $37 total! They are having a sale, buy one bra, get one for $5, and then I had a $10 off $30 purchase coupon. I just wanted to pass this along to anyone else who might me having the same problems as me. I was very overwhelmed for a minute there!

Do you know any stores that sell bras bigger than an F? I've gone from a C to an F and still growing and having a hard time finding a G cup. I'm 12 weeks Saturday...

One of my friends recommended https://www.cakematernity.com which I am about to try.

I had to buy new bras at 6 weeks because I had already gone up 2 sizes to a 36DD. I've grown even more since, but I think they have stopped for now since they no longer hurts so badly.

I thought mine had pretty much stopped growing, so I bought a new regular bra in a DD and a nursing bra in a DDD, but now I'm filling out the DDD.  I've only had them for a week or so! :((
  • I've had good luck with Bare Necessities... I'm a 36J and busting out!
Warning No formatter is installed for the format bbhtml
  • I would also love to order online, but since they all fit so differently I had to try them on first! Good luck I know it can be frustrating, especially for larger cup sizes
  • Thank you! I need new bras this weekend. I am busting out of all of mine.
  • If only my podunk town had a Macy's... Although WalMart has a very nice selection since most of the women around here don't wear bras.

In all seriousness though, thanks for the heads up. Maybe I can get a road trip out of this for some real shopping. :D

My 36 DD is not cutting it anymore. I might need to step up another size. I hate the wireless ones though. They make my boobs look "floppy" if that makes sense. I've been wearing my nursing sports bras from my last pregnancy. They are soooo comfy!
  • I bought a nursing bra from Target and it is essentially a torture device... not sure I will ever wear it again. I will have to look at some of these websites.

I was wearing an E my last pregnancy! I know huge, but the only ones I found that fit that size was actually Buy Buy Baby. I grew out of bras so quickly that I went ahead and bought the nursing kind. They are a little pricey (in my opinion) but for busty broads like me.. It was so worth it and now don't have to but any more during this pregnancy
  • I bought a new bra and found out I went up a whole cup size, holy..but now my boobs are uber comfortable

Did you get measured? I'm normally a 36D going to go get measured, but don't want to buy a bunch if they're not going to last for a long haul.

Totally feel you on the floppy notion.  I just don't find them to be as supportive, generally speaking.

A large breasted friend told me about Bravado brand nursing bras.  They sell F/G and H/I size bras.  I just ordered some since I started out at a DD and now am in desperate need of something larger.  My first one should be arriving today.  I'll let you guys know how it works out.

  • I loved Bravado bras. I'm a 40DD and ended up a 40F/G with my daughter. I have a bunch left from her that are still in good shape. They are worth the money.

Awesome.  It's always good to hear from a couple of sources that a product is quality.  I decided to skip straight to the nursing bras so I wouldn't have to buy quite so many.

I might have to try these, too!  They certainly look comfy and supportive.
  • Macy's is great! They always have sales. My mom worked there for 20 years. I find bras and maternity wear in general a pain. I find it farty. If anyone has any cool sites or store you can suggest that would be awesome. Ive already tried Destination Maternity, GAP, target...

Try Wacoal for larger sizes with good support. I used some of the Bravados for nursing but some are more supportive than others. You have to try a bunch on. Bare Necessities has good coupons.
  • I just bought 4 bras from Destination Maternity for $75.00 (buy 3 get one free) went from DD-F
  • I get mine from the Bravissimo website, they ship internationally. The soft cup bra by Panache is lovely, I'm wearing a 32J and it's really supportive and still pretty.
  • Pea in the Pod carries some
Cake bras if you want to try them on in person.
  • Lane Bryant has some! I just bought two bras there for $55.

I ended up buying a couple of Bravado bras - the Confetti and the Body Silk - and the Confetti is SO comfortable.  Maybe not something I'll wear out and about, since it's not lined, but it's definitely great for lounging around.  I'll probably get another one.  The molded cups in the Body Silk were too small, but it might work if I take them out.  I can't seem to find the box to try it on without them, though.
