I have been feeling dizzy all afternoon. I did a lot more than usual today so I am thinking that may be why. I am sitting down drinking cold water this evening. Has anyone else experienced this and have any tricks on how to help it?
What week are you? I have dizziness too, I'm 5 weeks. I've been told it's a side effect from our bodies producing progesterone. If it's extreme, I would get it checked out by your doc just to be safe. It could be a side effect of something else. I had an ectopic back in Aug, with exterme vertigo, I couldn't drive or hardly stand for long & had bleeding too, all signs I knew were not right. Lucky it was caught at 5 weeks & caused no damage to my tube.
I am 5 wks 1 day. I am on progesterone so I was thinking that may have something to do with it also. We are supposed to have our first ultrasound at 6 wks 4 days.
Ya, me too, I'm 5w2d this was our 1st IVF cycle after 3 IUIs. Are you taking progesterone to support a fertility procedure? Since we are working with a fertility clinic, we are going for our 1st ultrasound tomorrow morning, and will have one U/S per week for 4 weeks. So excited, but scared of the unknown. Is this your first child?
I have had dizziness like crazy. I didn't know if it was the beginning of morning sickness because I'm a tiny bit nauseous as well sometimes. But it's really irritating. Plus my allergies are kicking my butt this week!
Same boat here. 5 wks today and dizziness and feeling light headed with a headache and queasy tummy are all very present today... Pretty much all day. Drink more water and keep eating small frequent meals
Me too was the start of my ms. In the past I've also had it with low iron which I think is common during pregnancy. Drink lots of water and take it slow. My prenatals have a little extra iron just because of that
Reached the 6wks mark yesterday and to be honest it wasn't such a good day. Was making dinner and started feeling very light headed I felt like I would pass out. Had soo much shortness of breath that it almost felt like I had no strength to breath. I was reading that the dizziness could be as a result of multiples. Will find out for sure on the 21st when I go for my first scan.
Thanks everyone for your replies. I took it easy last night and am feeling better so far today. Constantly drinking water and trying to snack throughout the day.
@BethanyPJ I have determined that a small boal of oatmeal helps me with these symptoms...If you can stomach it, I'd suggest trying it. Congrats on your IUI, sending positive thoughts your way!
I had my 1st US @ 5weeks today after IVF, I was told today that your body starts to get used to/adapts to the progesterone & the dizziness after time should subside. Hang tight, hopefully it will get better for you all soon! My progesterone is coming in at 30, what is everyone's?
I have low bp and am more than dizzy. Using compression stockings (not so comfortable) drinking a lot water, snacking often and resting. I'm 6w4d and am so exhausted from the effects of low bp. Could be the same for you. The elevated progesterone does that to you. Also affects your digestion. Take care and continue the water water sipping!
I was standing in line at the pharmacy yesterday to get a prescription and it was taking FOR...EV...ER! (Didn't help that I was having a very grumpy day either) And I starting feeling so lightheaded so I'm hoping this does not become a trend for the next few weeks and I will get "used" to all that progesterone soon
