any updates? Did you meet with your RE?

Yes! So of the five normal embryos, he said they are 'similar in quality' enough that no one is better than the other. So I have to decide based on gender, or let the embryologists pick. I'm leaning toward letting the embryologists pick.

Also, we found out that the one abnormal embryo has Turner's Syndrome, which is a sex chromosome monosomy.

So now, we just make the decision, and keep on the BCPs until the 29th. Then I will work into the long, drawn out FET schedule.

BCPs for 33 days, wait a week, start delestrogen injections every monday and friday. Lining check, then if that looks good we start progesterone in oil injections. Then once that gets everything looking good, we will transfer! Shooting for June 25, but everything depends on lining and when I get my period after BCPs. If my pregnancy test is positive, I will start endometrin progesterone suppositories in addition to the PIO injections and the delestrogen injections. It seems a lot more intense than a fresh transfer!

Wow. I don't know that I would be able to pick gender either! I would want to know though! One of my friends had a baby boy and they knew from transfer...kinda crazy but cool!!

5 normal embies is awesome!! Will you transfer one or two? I am sorry about your abnormal embie, but what a wonderful crazy thing that they can test embies!! Science is awesome! I get so wrapped up in my cycle and sometimes when you take a step back and really think about what the doctors do....it's breathtaking.

Your FET is way more medicated than mine! I hope my RE isnt missing anything. We decided to do PIO this time (I have done suppositories with my 2 fresh IVFs) he said he has better results. Yet I am freaking out as it has been years since injections and that needle...yikes.

When I had my nurses class they gave me my calendar and she said they rarely change the transfer date that they have it down to the day. I worry that my lining won't be right on their calendar.

Can't wait to hear what yall decide to do!! Ps my period came 2 days before I stopped the pills. So hopefully yours won't be a long wait!!

Science is amazing, and I am super thankful to know the embryos are normal.

I have never done PIO, and am a tad nervous about that one, especially since I'll be on 2mL! I think using PIO makes it measurable by blood vs the suppositories you can't measure how much the endometrium is getting.

That is what my nurse said, too, they rarely change it. The last two times I've been on BCPs for the IVFs it took 6 and 7 days to get my period. But both times I was only on them for 17 and 13 days. I'm hoping being on them for 33 days will make the difference!

We will be transferring two, we know that. My RE has statistics that say transferring two CCS embryos under 35 has an 84% success rate. I'll believe that when I see it, but it is promising.

No matter what we choose, we will want to know the genders going into it. I'm not patient about stuff like that. lol. Here is to some successful June FETs!

I am totally jealous of that 84%!!!

They gave me 92% thaw and 50% pregnancy rate. Which is very good, but I tend to be the opposite of what statistics go...blah. I really don't want to get my hopes up on our last little single embryo. Wish we had at least 2. But I repeat to myself. It only takes one.

What are the genders of your 5? (If you don't mind sharing) I find it interesting to think if you Transfer 2 of the same and you only get PG with one you will know, but if you do 2 opposites you might not know! So knowing me I would have to do 2 of the same...so I would know either way.

I can't see your siggy. What other child(ren) do you have? Think their gender makes a difference in your selection? What does DH think?

I have 2 boys and everyone keeps saying "you have to try for the girl" but I was one of three girls so the thought of 3 boys is kinda special to me. Of course, I would love a girl but.......hard to imagine now as just getting PG and staying PG is hard to imagine. I just say healthy! Healthy!!!! I had a dream last week that I birthed a foot and then a baby...the baby wasn't healthy. This scares me so much. Like am I forcing this family picture that isn't meant to be. Ugh. Ok stopping before I get too deep.

I have a 5 year old daughter, and we have 4 boy and 1 girl embryos. Honestly, I am not particular about gender. At all. I just want to finally carry a baby to term.

I totally side eye his 84%, with everything I have! However, I am crossing everything.
