im a first time mom and my baby keeps popping up with more and more of these I'm not sure what they are or what I should do to help hem clear up and go away. Any advice?
Hard to tell for certain, but it looks like baby acne to me. My LO has just about the same thing. Just wash with warm water regularly. Not much you can do for it as they usually go away on their own.
My baby gets it from time to time. I put hydrocortisone on them and a bit of baby powder and it clears it up almost right away. Just be careful you don't use too much powder and that the baby doesn't inhale any...I usually put a bit on my fingertips (while away from his face) and rub it on his cheeks.
Probably baby acne, but if you're worried, check with the pediatrician. My first had perfect skin, my second has bad baby acne that flares up every couple days. I just wash with warm water and avoid anything that might irritate her skin. Doesn't seem to bother her at all though!
My daughter was getting baby acne on her face pretty bad a few weeks ago. I washed her face with warm water twice a day, once in the morning and once before bed and put Baby Aquaphor on her face at night before I put her down to sleep. It cleared up in like 2 or 3 days!
Looks like baby acne...it should clear up on its own...my son gets it every so often too. The Dr said its because of my hormones when I'm BF but not to worry about it.
Thanks you all my and my bf have clear skin so for us to see our Lo with these bumps hurts our lil hearts... But we do have sensitive skin so I'm afraid to put anything on it... So for now a warm washcloth twice daily seems to be it .. I hope he doesn't get any scars they are pretty red...
It won't scar unless he scratches at them. Mine had such bad acne that I was convinced it was a rash but it wasn't. It took about a week to clear up but the warm washcloth really helps. And if he starts to scratch put socks on his hands.
In case you end up needing it...I have red hair and fair, sensitive skin and my daughter looks like she'll be the same. We had to switch her to sensitive diapers early on so I was worried about using hydrocortisone on her face as well when I saw people suggest that. The Baby Aquaphor has been great though and she hasn't had any type of skin reaction to it.
