First ultrasound in my first appointment or no??

in January 2016 Moms
my first appointment is June 1st, so far!! I will be 7 weeks by then, will they do an ultrasound or will that be a later appointment? I want to see my baby already!! Lol

    It depends on your doctor and where your from. In my province you don't get an U/S until you are between 20-22 weeks. However after reading a bunch of other posts it seems if you live other places you get them earlier.

    At my practice they don't do ultrasounds in the office. They will schedule one at my first appointment so it will probably be a week later. My first appt is June 5th.

    You usually don't get an US until your 16-20 week appt unless you have had previous issues.  So be happy that you don't need one:)

    I had a prenatal appointment at around 4w4d where I had bloodwork and a pap test done. I have my 1st u/s next week at 6w3d.

    I'll be going at 8w3d and am scheduled for one. I've had one done in the first appointment for each pregnancy, but everywhere is different.

    Depends on the practice. With all three of my pregnancies (different doctors), they've done a dating/viability scan at the first appointment.
    BFP #1 10/6/11 | EDD 6/15/12 | MMC 11/7/11 @ 8w3d | D&C 11/14/11

    It depends on a lot of factors if you get one before the anatomy scan. For me, I have a very tilted uterus so its hard for them to feel it early. They have to do the U/S for dating & growth purposes around 8-10 weeks.

    Yesterday I had my first appt at 6 weeks (because I had a miscarriage in December) just to make sure everything looks good and my Dr did a transvaginal ultrasound and we saw and heard the heartbeat! He's having me come back in two weeks though to make sure baby is growing right and nothings gone wrong.

    It's not really common for an ultrasound at first appointments in my area, mostly because most offices don't do them. They have to request them from the hospitals, so it's usually a couple of days later.
