All I want, need, and crave is chocolate milk and I have heard from a few people that drinking a lot of milk makes you have super huge babies. Anyone else heard this before? I'm not picky on the size of my baby to a point...
I have never heard that but if I were to speculate, it could be from the growth hormones in milk (they make everything bigger, including us.) If that's the case, sticking to organic milk could be your answer!
Oh boy, never heard of that and I normally hate milk, would rather drink almond milk, but I have been drinking so much lately right out of the carton. My hubby is a big guy 6'4 so I'm praying this isn't true otherwise I'm bound to birth a chunky monkey!
I don't drink milk and my first was 10# 14oz and 22" (no GD for me). Most milk is hormone free. Big babies can happen for a variety of reasons which we have no control over.
I've heard that a lot of sugar in the 3rd tri is related to big babies.... but in general I have never heard of drinking milk being related to having big babies.
I am Dutch and Dutch love milk. It is part of my every day diet and I drink it for pleasure too. Dutch also happen to be tallest people in the world and sometimes that's connected to the popularity of dairy. So if anything it might make your baby tall and strong, but not big! Milk is good.
I drank a lot of milk with my first...and he was 9lbs...I did the same with my second. He came at 36 weeks and was still 6lbs 15 ounces. My DH's family has a history of big babies though, I don't think it was linked to the milk.
