HELP!! Need ideas...totally off topic

So this is totally off topic, but I need to pick some female brains lol!!!
I got married 3 months ago and my best friend in the world got engaged 2 weeks before my wedding. She was in my wedding, and so was her future husband, as he is my husband's best friend! Imagine my excitement that we would be able to return the favor and help them plan their amazing special day!! Ok so all is awesome and exciting, she asks me to be her maid of honor, I say of course, and my husband is to be best man! Yay!!! She starts talking about eloping, and we're still cool, I mean hello, vacation excuse!! She is talking about dates between March & May of 2016. So the day before I find out i'm pregnant...literally the day before...she asks me to stand beside her on a mountain in Colorado(16 hour drive from our home) on January 12th!!! The next day I find out i'm pregnant and due Dec 13th!!! Are you kidding me with the timing?!?! So we're best friend and of course we are trying to be there for each other, and we're both happy and so sad at the same time. So here is my question...I really still want to make her day special and I want her to feel like im there on her day, even though I wont be. I also want to give her some awesome memories before her big day!! She doesnt want a traditional shower (she said no shower at all, but I know she just doeant want me to fuss with something), and she isnt big on the crazy wild bachelorette party. What can I do for her?! Any suggestions or ideas to make her feel special and show her how much I care and give her some awesome memories before her big day?! ANY help is greatly appreciated!!!

  • You could have all the women in her life send you their favorite recipes and then make them into a cookbook for her. :)

    Pregnancy Ticker
  • What about a spa day, or a girls night slumber party in a nice hotel with room service and movies all night long, just the two of you?

^This sounds like a really good idea.

My girlfriend was 30 when she got married and she was past the whole going wild bachelorette party thing.  We did a wine tasting bridal shower (for about 10 people) where I went to Wegmans and got a good selection of wines that the ladies could taste and had cheese and other fine snacks and then 6 of us all went to a piano bar and spent the night in a hotel.  It was really nice and everyone enjoyed it!

  • You could have all the women in her life send you their favorite recipes and then make them into a cookbook for her. :)

My sister did this for me and it is one of my favorite gifts from my wedding.

  • you could do a girls trip with her. Get away to somewhere special for a few days. My best friend and I are going on a cruise for our birthdays in august. Obviously it was something we planned before I found out I was pregnant. never the less im really looking forward to it.
  • Get letters from everyone important in her life and put them in a binder to open on her big day with a bottle of wine. (Parents, in laws, bridal party, best friends, siblings & of course groom). And get her favorite bottle of wine. I'm a sap. Obviously.
  • Love all the ideas shared. I couldn't be there for my really good friend's wedding so I sent her 2 packages. One was to open the day before. It had a letter from me, a couple of relaxing toiletry items, some chocolate, an eye mask etc. Things for her to relax to the night before. For the day off I sent her a pretty wedding night baby doll, a mixed CD I made for her to listen to while getting ready and another letter for her to open. She loved it and I felt like I was sort of there helping her get ready.
  • Omg yoyr ideas made me cry like a baby!!! Stupid pregnancy hormones lol!! Thank you so much ladies, these ideas are awesome!!! You guys have no idea how much this helped!! :)
  • Maybe a special piece of "something new" or "something blue" jewelry for her to wear on the big day?
I love this etsy store. She makes amazing stuff!
