Last night I noticed my legs and feet were sooo swollen and my heart would start racing every little while like I had just finished working out. I slept all night with my legs/feet elevated up and it seems to be better this morning. Also been having ridiculous pelvic and lower back pain/pressure. Contractions here and there but nothing consistent or worth trying to time. I have my first weekly appt today at 36+1 weeks so we will see what my doctor says. On top of that I woke up to a phone call from my younger brother who lives halfway across the country because his dad tried fighting him this morning and got arrested and they took my brother to a counselors office and he now has no where to go cause he clearly isn't going back to his dad's, so I'm now investing in a one way ticket for him to come live with me. So add stress to my list of symptoms....although I am excited to see my brother and have him here for when he becomes an uncle for the first time. That's my morning so far. :-S

I'll intend to just 'sit for a minute' on the couch, and suddenly I'm waking up 10 minutes later going 'oops'. Surprise naps lol

It also feels like baby is huge and doesn't have much room. It doesn't matter what position I'm moving in, I can feel myself pushing or leaning on his little limbs. Poor guy must be so squished.
  • My symptoms for today....annoyed and irritated! Maybe I should nap until my mood improves?!

I am however relieved for the decrease in heat..70 here today. It has been in the high 80s for what seemed like an eternity. I'm loving the windows opened and the cool breeze blowing in.

My post today is to say that I have a goal to be positive all day long. No matter what. Suck it up and be positive. Lord help me!!! Anyone want to try with me and see how far in the day we get?!?!

I'm in! I have been trying to be more positive and thankful for the little things and less whiney anyway. My problem is my temper has gotten much shorter. :|

Feeling OK but I can't get comfortable at my desk. LO is taking up so much room!
  • I had another sonogram today, (if any of remember 2 weeks ago my baby was measuring 99th percentile, now she is 95 so maybe she's leveling out?) anyway, she is doing great! I still have this super obnoxious cold, which is not fun when it's 90 degrees out. Ew.
  • Today I have put myself in don't move off the couch mode. My hips are messed up and painful. I feel like I pulled muscles on the insides of both legs. My feet and hands are just puffy enough to annoy me. I feel huge, especially since I'm convinced I'm about 2 weeks further along than the doctor says. (A tech does the ultrasounds for dating and just writes up the report. The particular tech who did mine was cranky and seemed to have issues measuring since baby girl wouldn't sit still.)

My doctor doesn't seem to care about anything I tell her right now. It's annoying me because she's the only dr in the practice whose schedule fits with mine regularly for appointments. She probably won't be the one to deliver the baby, and I trust all of the others/love my hospital so I don't want to try to switch so late. Just a little frustrated.
  • Well Today feeling good so far. The BH continued all night. I dreamt that my water broke and it was so real I woke up about to call the doctor. Then realized the bed was dry. This happened multiple times last night lol First time Ive had a dream about labor. Usually I just have super odd dreams. Woke up and the BH were back full force instantly. Luckily not much planned today other then just sitting around.

Really hope the BH subside soon. Becoming quite annoying. DH had a good theory, I drink a ton of water but it seems to just go right through me. Due to severe MS my diet isn't the best and maybe lacking sodium so even though I'm drinking water I'm still a little dehydrated? Could explain the constant headache too. I have my weekly appointment Friday so I'll ask then if they don't quit.
  • Dreams, oh gruesome dreams, I'm tired of you. With such vivid clarity, I'm seeing limbs torn apart, blood going all over, and surgical operations in the midst of my limited sleep. Not sure if this is because I'm pregnant or merely hallucinating because I'm so dang tired. ;-) Fun times!

  • Middle back pain is killing me! Have another ultrasound today to check weight and cervix so hopefully everything looks good or looks like I'll be done working for a while. Which is awesome but sucky money wise
  • I had a nightmare too! usually mine are around boogie men I cant get away from! Funny i cant remember the details now, but it for sure woke me up. My crotch wont stop hurting now. I can't tell if its my lady bits or coming from my pelvic bone and tendons.

  • Finally got my ankles down to looking a somewhat human size..only to be back to work tonight :(( but this time with compression socks (my husband will have to put them off and my coworkers will have to help me take them off before I leave..I could barely get them off prepregnancy!)

A little overwhelmed as we had an unexpected death in the family last night. I feel bad for feeling selfish and thinking about how I can't take time off work but I really think it's because it was just unexpected and the grief hasn't hit yet.

Really interested in this pelvic pain you guys keep talking about. I know baby is low because I feel the hiccups in my butt but...I don't feel any pressure, ever. You could also drive a Mack truck through my pelvis so maybe baby just has all the room in the world. Who knows.

Bless everyone with AC problems. I woke up two nights ago (to pee of course) and found my dog and husband spooning under a down comforter b/c I had the fan and AC cranked up haha. I couldn't help but chuckle at the two of them looking both adorable and pathetic.

I'm just sleepy today. Our dog decided to test out our parenting skills with a middle of the night ear ache/infection. Without fail it happens every spring - perhaps it's allergies? Who knows. So at 3am we are flushing his ears out and putting drops in. He fell right asleep whereas I was up for the rest of the night.

I too am trying to remain positive today but boy is it hard. Hugs to everyone! We are almost there.
  • Is anyone else on Procardia for preterm labor? I am and the side effects are kicking my butt. I've heard mixed things about when I get to come off it. Sometimes I hear 34 weeks and sometimes I hear 36. I'm 33 now. I will do whatever needs to be done for the baby to stay healthy, I iust wonder what others might be told. My side effects include feeling hot all the time with constantly flushed cheeks, headaches, extreme dizziness to the point that I can't drive myself anywhere, and a foggy mind.

I'm with @finchfeeder80 ... Opposite of constipation! What is going on? Can I just have one regular day?! I'm guessing no.

Having contractions which actually makes me really excited even though they are uncomfortable!! Give me my baby!

One good thing is increased energy. I feel like I've been super woman lately. Im sure it will be short lived but I'm going to use it while I have it! It's probably just because I know I have soooo much to do before baby comes. We're moving next week :(
  • @klkonwi can I take advantage of my labor and delivery nurse bumpie? Blood pressure has been high ( which I'm told is common with multiples) last week was 40/90 and then about half an hour later was 35/87. Doctor said to check my blood pressure at the pharmacy since I couldn't make it in to have him check
It again over the weekend. So today I checked it at the grocery store and it was a whopping 47/96. I have an apt tomorrow, what do you think? Should I go into the hospital or should I wait it out until tomorrow? I was also tired and out of breath from pushing my grocery cart ;)
  • @Emilywooddesign I'm not a L &D nurse but I do work in the medical field. I can tell you that those machines in drug stores are not super accurate. Kids play on them and no one does any maintenance on them so they could be off as much as 20-30 points on your BP. I would stop by one of this small clinics like the minute clinic or little clinic and ask a nurse practitioner to check your BP. Most will do it for free no problem. I have pregnancy induced hypertension and my OB said if my BP is over 150/95 I should go straight to L & D to be monitored. You may want to call the office and just check with a nurse.

@Emilywooddesign your bp is going to be higher when you are up walking around/shopping but I would most definitely go into the office and have them check it. Let them know your numbers and activity level (IE shopping, walking,or resting) during those numbers. Can never be too safe with bp.

They might want to monitor and test you to do 2 readings 6 hours apart based on your office reading. @Emilywooddesign

I have a new one: nosebleed. I know they're common during pregnancy but this was the first. Luckily, nothing got on my shirt and it started in the bathroom so at least I wasn't dealing with it at my desk.

    That's what I thought! Thank you :)

  • So irritable! I had a case of road rage earlier today which is uncharacteristic for me. This lady sped up to cut me off...so I blew my horn for about a minute and gave her a glare. She knew she was cutting me off! I was turning right and she was turning left at a green light.

Ah I know they are going to tell me to come in. I'm going to get my Husband to take me tonight somewhere to have it checked again. I'm in Canada and have never heard of the minute clinic or little clinic. If I go to the hospital they will send me straight to labor and delivery where I will stay for hours if they don't admit me. I guess better safe than sorry

  • I feel like there isn't enough room in there anymore for baby. Pressure on the ribs on my left side inside instead of the right like usual, so it somehow makes it feel worse? Otherwise still very tired and feeling quite blah today. Don't want to eat or drink my water or whatever. And worse, DH has the car with him at work, and y'all talking about frozen or frosty lemonades or whatever on the cravings thread had me wanting something like that. Even tho I don't have a Chick-fil-A or a Sonic, I DO have a Dairy Queen / Orange Julius, and I'm sure I could get some sort of super cold juicy drink. Once I can get this baby out of ribs.

  • Yesterday, I was cooking a delicious meal but the smell made Me vomit which has never happened during this entire pregnancy. Now today, i have been nauseous all day and have vomitted again. My belly is painful. Hurts when i am gettin up off the couch and chair. Not sure if it had something to do with exhaustion because I have had insomnia for almost a week and restless leg syndrome. This has been a rough day... Fingers crossed I can sleep tonight and wake up freling better in the am.

@GenPoulin could just be a bug but it also could be signs of pre eclampsia ? There's a certain stomach pain/right sided pain associated. Have you consulted your doctor at all ? And do you have normal blood pressure?
  • klkonwiklkonwi member
I am just an internet stranger so just asking if your doc knows your symptoms at all if the stomach pain is abnormal for you ?!

@mellymar it's Chick-fil-A lemonade mixed with their ice cream and it's heavenly! I would send you one if I could!
  • Wow I have had every symptom you just described. Like the pain in belly when getting up and down. I've been having nausea But I didn't in the whole beginning or middle of my pregnancy. I threw up again today. I sleep and hour or two at a time waking up all night and restless leg so bad. Plus I have heart burn all day and horrrrible hemroihds.
