Going out with baby

has anyone taken their new baby out to a movie with them? Mine is 14 weeks old and generally very well behaved, hubby and I wanted to go to the movies (no babysitter) but we dont want to be THOSE parents who bring their baby and ends up crying the whole time.

    Just try it. If s/he cries, give it up and go have a drink instead. You don't know whether it's going to work for *your* baby until you do it.

    We've been twice. Our baby is very good. The only problem we had is she is a very loud eater, so when I knew it was time for her to eat I had to choose loud parts to get her situated. Lol, then she would just grunt and I tried to not make eye contact. Well worth it!

    Some theatres do a matinee called "stars and strollers" specifically for babies...everyone in the theatre has a child and is in the same boat. It's great cause nobody pays attention when your kid cries cause they know theirs probably will too at some point.
