Not "feeling" pregnant?!

Hi! This is my first pregnancy. My husband and I started trying in April, and had success the first try. I got my BFP on May 1 at 4 weeks and 2 days. I'm now 5 weeks and 5 days. If someone were to ask me if I felt pregnant, my answer would be no. I took 3 tests and all were positive, but my ONLY symptoms are slight cramping occasionally and sore breasts. I'm not tired, I have no nausea, my back doesn't hurt, nothing that I'm reading is "typical". My OB doesn't want to see me before 8-9 weeks since I'm healthy and have no prior history of complication. My appt is scheduled for June 1 when I'll be 8 wks 5d. I'm freaking out a little since I'm not really experiencing anything major at all and I still have 3 weeks to go before I see the doctor. Any advice??? I would be SO SO appreciative. The love I have for this peanut is crazy, and I just want to make sure this isn't something to worry about. Thank you!!!

  • Our bodies are different and what is generally said about symptoms might not happen to some women. I am 6 Weeks With extremely sore breast, urinating like every 10 mins, tired and want to nap all the time. However, nausea is very minimal. I don't get morning sickness or maybe am still early. So in others words as far as you are not bleeding and cramping bad no need to worry.

  • I'm in your exact same boat! I am 5 weeks and I have no symptoms really. Some cramping and slight spotting about a week ago. If it wasn't for the positive tests, I would have no idea!
  • With my first I had every symptom in the book!!  With this one I have hardly any except mild cramping now and then, lower back aches now and then and I am tired all the time!  Every pregnancy is so different.  They say symptoms start to show more around the 6-8 week mark.  Be thankful cause I had "all day sickness" for 13 weeks with my first

  • I didn't have many early symptoms with my first child either.  I never got nausea/morning sickness, and I'm hoping to avoid it this time as well.  I know it's weird to not "feel" pregnant, but count yourself fortunate and enjoy the symptom free weeks while they last!  Once you get the ultrasound and hear the heartbeat, it won't feel so surreal.

  • Thank you guys so much! I feel much better! I have total faith that there is a little baby growing and growing in there, it's just so strange when you don't really have anything to show for it or prove it. No bleeding whatsoever with the slight cramping I do have, so I'm not worried about that. So very excited for this whole experience! Thrilled you ladies are all on the same journey!
  • My first two were drastically different that this pregnancy. First off: My face has cleared up a ton! My first two pregnancies I have total pizza face. I am also not that nauseous but I remember that really starting for me at 6 weeks.

  • This makes me feel better - Katie0613, our kids are like a month apart!  I was terribly sick for 22 weeks last time and my boobs were SO SORE, but not this time.  I'm not hungry, the boobs are fine and so far no nausea.  The only thing that made me think I was preggers at all was that I'm super tired (oh and that we were trying - lol!)

I don't have any real symptoms yet either at 5wks 4 days. Just try to enjoy what could be the calm before the storm. I remember extreme exhaustion during the first trimester for my other two pregnancies. It's still very early. Hang in there.
  • I'm 5w5d as well and next to no symptoms. Much different than my first 4.

I'm not hungry either and my breasts just started getting a little tender tonight. I have been getting these pinching like feelings in my breast, just want I want is for them to grow haha

  • I'm 6w 2 days and no symptoms, my nipples are sore only at night. I just started yawning all the time but can't nap. I was worried but reading that it's normal as long as you're not cramping or bleeding makes me feel better. I just can't wait to see that heartbeat in 2 weeks
  • I'm 5 weeks, 4 days. I am really tired most of the time, and have sore boobs.  With my first, I started with the MS around now, but so far just waves of nausea here and there. I also have this pressure feeling in my lower pelvis sometimes. Today, I feel totally fine. I wouldn't even say I feel pregnant.   The worst part is that I don't see my OB or get an ultrasound until June 11th. I will be almost 10 weeks!  It is killing me, but it was literally the first appt that worked for us.  I do see the nurse next week, so hopefully she can help settle the nerves. I am just trying to stay positive and keep praying we have a healthy little sticker here!

  • I'm 5 weeks, 2 days.  I'm in the same boat as you ladies and knowing that others are having similar experiences makes me feel a lot better.  I'm a first time momma and I have had very mild symptoms so far (breast tenderness, some food aversions and only nauseous once) then for the last two days I haven't noticed any symptoms.  I'm not bleeding, and feel like I should be happy that I'm feeling well! I just want it to be our next OB appointment already so I can see that everything is okay!  To calm my nerves, when I wake up every morning I just tell myself how grateful I feel with every day of my pregnancy..whatever the symptoms may or may not be.  That helps me a little...but its still tough!
