Intro: Old timer bumpie, on my third.

Hello everyone,
I guess I'll be joining you guys! I am 5 weeks pregnant, with #3. It's kinda crazy, going through this all over again! Is there anyone else out there going on #3+? With my 2nd, I got severe pre-e and had to deliver @34 weeks. He was 2lbs 12oz, and I am absolutely terrified of that happening again! Does anyone else have any experience with pre-e with their 3rd? My case was unusual since I did not have it with my first.

I am hoping to try for a VBAC, but we will see how I am (pre-e or not) at the end. I am not setting my hopes on anything!

Anyhow, nice to meet you all! A H&H 9 months to you :D

  • Welcome! Congrats! I'm about as far along with #3! We didnt think we would have a third so I'm still a little shocked!
No advice with pre-e but best of luck to you!!

  • We are catholic and do NFP, my cycles have been really messed up, like 40 day cycles. This made it really hard to chart and I honestly had no CM before O except for the day of, oops! It's ok though, my youngest is going to be 3 in December so that is a great gap IMO! I love kids and am starting my own in-home daycare which has been my project for the last year or so. I'm hoping this won't affect it that much!

Praying I don't get pre-e or have bedrest! Ugh!

  • Welcome and congrats.  I'm a FTM, so no advice or experience, just wanted to say hi!

  • Congrats!
This will be our third as well. I delivered DS2 at 36 weeks, for unknown reasons, and am a little scared that this will be an early baby too. As I'm sure you know, NICU stays are no fun. FX that you're able to avoid the pre-e this time.

How long was yours in the NICU? We were there for 21 days, and it felt like forever :(

He was in for 7 days, and even that felt like forever, 21 must have been so difficult for you. He was 5lbs 10oz, so I'm sure that helped us leave in just a week. He was on an apnea monitor for a month after we got home.

I practice NFP as well. We just completely disregarded everything so here I am having #3 as well. I am still shocked but very happy :) Unfortunately I don't know anything about pre-e.
    Welcome to you and congratulations!!!
  • I'm 5 weeks along with #3, as well. I delivered my twins at 28 weeks (2lbs 6oz each) due to pre-e, so I'm TERRIFIED this time around. Goodness knows after being in the NICU 101 days and starting to feel like I lived there, I could do it again if I have to but I'd really rather not! My OB sent me a research article that basically said my chances of getting it again are much lower, as long as I don't have twins again. We'll see!

Welcome and congrats! I'm on number 3 as well. I don't have any help with pre-e but I did a vbac last delivery and it was a great decision! Hopefully you will be able to do it. I was very happy I did!
