Spit up

LO is just over a week old and spits up I'd say every other feeding or so, sometimes it's got the consistenty of like phlegm, and is white and chunky. She isn't fussy at all before or after so it doesn't seem to bother her, at most she is occasionally hungry after. Should I be concerned? We go to her ped on Wednesday and I plan on asking her as well, til then I just want a piece of mind. Thanks!!

    My first baby had the same phlegmy spit up. My doc told me it was amniotic fluid and that she was just clearing it out of her lungs. I think it is considered normal for the first few weeks. I would bring it up at your appt but I was told not to worry.

    definitely normal but I would recommend trying to burp a little longer if she spitting up every other feeding.. my little guy doesn't spit up often but when he does he pretty much spits up his whole feeding which I feel bad because then I have to feed him all over again and fear if he'll spit up again..babies Sure are complicated little people :)
