Coughing and bone movement?

So the last few months, my nightly routine of insomnia is to cough myself awake. Wheeze coughing because of the dry desert air. I get up, get water, or take a hot shower then back to bed and up off and on every 1hr to 2hrs everyday. It sucks but anywho, my new symptom that is freaking me out is ... coughing and feeling my pelvic bone move. It is a wierd feeling not sure if it's because I'm almost 34 weeks with my second baby or what the deal is. Has anyone else had that type of issue? I feel the bones move when I'm lying on my side. This is only when I am coughing.

I also have severe lower back pain which my dr keeps saying is normal...but I don't feel like it is. It actually weakens my right leg at times. I am affected most by the pain when I am at work standing or sitting for long periods of time.

Help put my mind at rest mamas! I know I am towards the end but some sort of relief would be nice.

Re: Coughing and bone movement?

  • Im a FTM. But.....Relaxin. Relaxin. Relaxin. The hormone that literally relaxes allllllll the muscles and ligaments in your body to allow stretching & room for LO. I have the same symptoms as far as the pubic bone. I can feel it shifting. Extremely uncomfortable to sit or stand for prolonged time. I have awful pain in bed at night. I have the lower back pain too. Mostly from guarding my pubic bone & being extra careful plus I'm 36 w 4 d and baby is head down..

Talk to your doctor. Get a pelvic support belt. See a chiropractor.

  • Do you have a humidifier??
  • @Serenamarr I need to get a new filter.

@FireFghtrWife518 sounds like we are definitely in the same boat. Thanks for letting me know I am not the only one. I see my dr Thursday and hoping she is head down at the ultrasound this friday. I'll get an appointment with a chiropractor too
  • I am just seeing this for the first time, but I am having he back pain, sciatic nerve pain, weak leg, etc. I have had two adjustments and feel FABULOUS! I would highly recommend it. Just make sure you find someone who is comfortable with very pregnant women.
