FTM what to expect 1st appointment

Hey mommies to be! I'm new here and hope you all had a great Mothers Day weekend. After 3 months of trying I am now expecting. From tracking I believe I'm about 5 weeks along. I made an appointment with a midwife for next Thursday. They say that I will be about 7 weeks at the date of the appointment. I'm just wondering what to expect. Will we be able to hear the heartbeat then? See anything on a ultrasound and will I get an exact due date? Any information would be appreciated. Thanks yall!

    Congrats and welcome!
    Your dr will go over your history and the dos and don'ts of pregnancy, pee in a cup, weight, and blood pressure check. You won't be able to find the heartbeat with a doppler this early. If they do an u/s you should be able to see the heart beating if you are 7weeks. Yes they will most likely give you an estimated due date.

    At my first appointment for DD they did an ultrasound first, after I peed.  I was 7 weeks, almost 8, so they informed me that they may or may not be able to hear the heartbeat.  Luckily we were able to!   Then we went and talked to the doctor and he just gave us lots of information and asked questions and what not.  The biggest thing for us was the ultrasound, to make sure baby was doing all right, and to calculate gestational age and what not.
