Pregnant Disney princesses

I'm doing a 5k to support one of our friends who has a child with cancer. The theme this year is Disney! Being that I'm pregnant, I'm trying to find something that would be fitting to dress up as. I will be 7 months pregnant at the time of the 5k, any thoughts?

Re: Pregnant Disney princesses

  • Ursula?? I know. Not a princess. But she is the only one I can think of with a belly...
  • Loading the player...
  • Well Ariel did have a baby in order for the second one to come out but she wasn't actually pregnant in a movie. I don't remember Ursula being pregnant? Someone suggested making my bump look like mike and then me dressing like sully but they're both boys and I think my baby is a girl. And I clearly am of course lol
  • Funnily enough, there are a TON of people online who draw each of the princesses pregnant, so I think any of them should be fine :P

I really love using "actual clothes" to create costumes and I think If I were doing this, I'd probably try my hardest to find either a red and white polka dotted maternity dress or the same in a shirt with some black shorts and top it off with some mickey ears and if you REALLY want to do it justice, some yellow converse or really comfortable yellow flats. Then you could be Minnie Mouse! :D But that's just because I think Minnie is the cutest character ever :P Hope that helps!
  • You could dress as pooh bear he isn't pregnant but has a belly. Or you dress up like a Dalmatian and be the mommy dog from 101 Dalmatians before she gave birth. I know not princesses but still something to think about
  • Doesn't one of the princesses get married and have a baby by the end of the movie? I feel like I remember that but haven't seen those movies in like 20 years lol
  • I love Disneybound.  (Basically casual/every day cosplay.)

You could dress in white and do Olaf.  I plan to do that for Halloween this year.  You could also be the evil mother in Rapunzel - "Mother knows best."  The mother from Brave might be cool too.  You could dress the bump (if there's one big enough at the time) as the pumpkin coach from Cinderella.

  • Ariel was never pregnant on TV but she die have a daughter for the 2nd movie :) otherwise I feel any princess would be fine.

Go with Snow White. She's been around the longest. So of course she'd be pregnant be now
  • I think that the outfits most princesses are known for wearing will be ill fitting on a bump. Jasmine would be cute, depending on how confident you are. Mulan, while technically not a princess, would look cute also. I would probably skip the princess look and go for Daisy Duck, though. She's obviously not pregnant, but she does have a bigger belly and waddles slightly. I think it'd be super cute.
  • You could be Ariel and dress your bump up as Flounder. Or if you go the Pixar route, be a pregnant Mrs.Incredible. Jack-Jack was a little one so The Incredibles definitely takes place fairly soon after birth.

I guess it's not technically a Disney princess, but I saw a pregnant "little red riding hood" costume that was super cute!
  • Coming from a geek that cosplays, sweetie any Disney Princess will do. I'm pregnant and plan on doing tons of cosplay pics as I get bigger lol. Put your own spin on it and I'm sure it'll be amazing.

From the moment I held you in my arms, I knew it was meant to be.

    I adore her smile,
    I cherish her hugs,
    I admire her heart.
    But most of all,
I love that she is my daughter.

This line got me thinking, and just last night, I remembered that one of the newer princesses (Giselle from Enchanted) has a blue dress with an empire waistline that would flow perfectly over a baby bump! She is also a step-mother by the end of the movie, so it would be totally logical if they decided to have another baby. ;)

ETA: Ditto what MariSlater said...a pic would be so cute!

Princess Fiona from Shrek?  Great movie, but not Disney...

But princess Giselle's dress would be super-cute over a bump.

You could be Meg from Hercules:). Her dress could also be empire waist And the two darker stripes would frame a baby bump perfectly:)
  • You can be Cinderella and your belly can be the pumpkin/carriage
