My sweet and wonderful husband...so baby does this thing where he pushes SO hard against my stomach. It is so so so uncomfortable so I kind of gently prod him to swim into a different, less "breaking out of cement walls" position.
Every time I do this, my husband politely asks me to stop. Finally, I started respond by jamming my foot in his thigh. Hasn't gotten the message across yet, but it starts cute tickle wars so I'm happy. :P
My hubby use to say that to me! He was convinced it would make me sick, after several not to nice comments from me he finally got the point. I have a meal every night just before bed.
Hubs was raised in the school of thought that one doesn't burn calories while one is asleep and eating too close to bed builds fat (which has totally been debunked, I might add). I want to kick him and be like: I'M NOT BUILDING FAT IN MY SLEEP, I'M BUILDING A HUMAN!!!!
He really worries about this excessively though. He'll tell me all the time if my snack is a "good" snack or a "bad" snack. As a person who formerly struggled with eating issues this drives me up the wall....also I AM NOT THE ONE THAT WEIGHS 300 POUNDS HERE!!! Fat husband commenting on what and when I eat is a little bit much....
@Boobopgirl omg that is the worst! I'm sorry your husband is making comments like that too you, regardless of how much he weights. I could not take it if it was my hubby. I know exactly how you feel, I'm very insecure about comments like, but the only one that ever has done it too me was my mom, and I see white hot rage. I don't know what I would do if it was my hubby making comments while I'm preggo, he would not survive!
Tonight hubby and I had sex, and then I was hungry. He told me not to starve myself so I ate a bowl of coco puffs at midnight. In bed. Hahaha. I'm so glad to have a husband that supports my food love right now.
Some of it is just his studiousness. Like he's read the best time to work out is first thing in the morning and so he ONLY wants to work out then and won't make up a workout later in the day if he misses it in the morning. Or when I say "We need to do some kind of Bible study as a family" and he goes and buys a theology textbook and starts planning practically a seminary course...for us to do with our 1 year old!! It's somewhat cute that he's so awkward and nerdy and other times he's so....weird.
Being pregnant changes my eating habits drastically. My husband just told me today at dinner that it was the most I've eaten during one sitting for months. He also commented a while ago when his friend had a preemie who was earlier than my first born and I said that her baby weighed 1/2 lb more than my daughter at birth. He told me to eat more.
My husband would never comment on my eating habits being too much. His concern is I'm not eating enough. He politely asks nearly every day what I ate at work. He read in our second trimester were supposed to be getting 70 grams of protein so I have a pre breakfast protein shake that is 30 grams to start my day and then I eat a breakfast lunch dinner desert and sometimes something else! I still have only gained 12 pounds.
Yeah hubby doesn't need to comment on your eating hehe, not ever. But I have always needed a small snack before bed and when I worked with a personal trainer he encouraged it, I told my husband what my trainer said and he never bothered me about food again ;-) Now he treats me like I know exactly what I'm doing
my hubby keeps accusing me of eating nothing but junk food now I do love my ice cream, but I have been trying REALLY hard to eat lots of fruits, veggies and good proteins. so it hurts that he doesn't seem to notice the good things I eat, and just focuses on the times I ask him to pick up ice cream.
For the first time in the history of EVER I finished my whole restaurant meal AND his leftover fries. Midwives have me on about 26-2800 calories and 96 g protein to accommodate both my nursling and baby. My goal is to hit that more days than not. Never thought I'd struggle to get ENOUGH calories.
Whenever my hubby gives me a hard time about what I'm eating or when, I blame it on his son. "It's not me, Wyatt demanded it, I had no choice, talk to your son when he's born." That usually makes him laugh and he offers me another. I've even used it at work when there's a box of donuts or something. After I have my first one for me, I politely ask if my son can have one. (I feel like a piggy) but it usually gets a laugh and I get another.
Anytime I'm eating something junk food-ish I look at my husband and just tell him I'm a vessel - his daughter requested it and who am I to tell her no?
My husband is the opposite. He's always encouraging me to eat more, the baby needs it, he says. If I listened to him God knows how much weight I would gain. lol.
Re: If my husband tells me....
Mine wouldn't survive either.

I'd have his head! Lol
My routine is home, clean, walk doggy, feed pets, shower, lay in bed, eat, sex (maybe), snack, snore
Lmao
The life
It's his code for "I will always love you. Now please feed my son a truck load of food."
