Calorie intake??

Okay. So I guess I've been doing it wrong? My coworkers said I don't eat enough. Actual words were "never saw a pregnant lady eat so little". I eat when I'm hungry and eat semi healthy. I'm 24w and gained 14lbs. I thought that was good.

So I figured out my calorie intake everyday and it's only about 1200-1400. I used some calculator online where you enter your height and pre pregnancy weight and it said my intake should be 2400. That seems crazy high? Anyone know if that sounds right? Tia!

 Fourth cycle October 30th 28 retrieved, 13 mature and 12 fertilized
PICSI, assisted hatching and fresh sperm from my DH's TESE surgery used
5 FROZEN from a freeze all cycle! 
FET completed on DECEMBER 9TH!!!

First Scan January 5th! Everything looks great! Heart rate of 121!

    I gained about the same and my dr said I was right on track, although 1200-1400 calories seems low to me-but I think as long as you feel comfortable you're fine

    @sorrellam30 thanks! I've been feeling really exhausted again and dizzy sometimes. I was wondering if it might be the issue. Going to my dr this Thursday. Guess I'll check in with him.

    1200-1400 seems very low to me during pregnancy. The dietician at our mfm said not to go below 1900 but aim for 2,000. I'm sure it's fine, but maybe talk to your doctor and try to get a few more snacks in?
    Me: 37, DH: 38: ttc 7 years, dx: unknown
    10/11: after 2 years, saw a RE, FSH 5.4
    11/11: BFP! (surprise after thyroid & normal hsg),
    12/11: missed m/c after 7 week u/s, 1/12: D&C
    6/12 IUI#1-IUI #3: clomid = BFP!, C/P
    IVF #1(10/12) FSH 5.4, AFC: 16 long Lupron, 5R/5M/4F, all 4 made it to 5dt, 1 blast/1-8 cell transferred=BFN
    IVF #2(12/12)AFC 21, MD lupron, 4R/4M/3F, 5dt of 1 blast and 2-8cell. BFN.
    IVF#3(4/13) Natural start antagon protocol, 12R,11F. one PGS normal at day 6 transfer. BFN.
    IVF#4 (11/13) C.CRM (ODW.U normal 8/13 Still no Diagnosis) EPP/antagonist. ER 13R/7M/6F. Only 1 made it to freeze. Abnormal. Looking into options of DE, Fresh vs frozen.
    10/14 new local RE to look into what's next. CD3 FSH 4.7, AMH 0.9. Met with DE agencies and exploring options for feb/march 2015.
    Surprise natural bfp (4 days before donor is signed). Beta #1 at 9dpo: 51.8, 2nd beta: 195 (25 hours doubling) @11dpo. 3rd beta (12/15): 516 (35 hrs doubling) 4th beta(12/17): 895 (58 hours doubling) 5th beta(12/19): 2120. U/S at 5w0d(12/22): one gestational sac with yolk sac. U/S #2 (6w0d)12/29. One little bean measuring 6w0d with HR 124. 3rd u/s(1/4)7w0d: baby measuring 7w2d. HR 134. 3/30: A/S at MFM went great except for low lying placenta. Verifi results are normal! Team Blue! Please send any positive thoughts our way! EDD:8/24/2015

    Thanks! I have been eating when I'm hungry and try to pick nutritional things. I just never counted my calories and then when I did I realized it was kinda low. Guess I'll have to keep an eye on it.

    Yeah- that's really low. I'm an RD- most women need an average of ~1600 calories, give or take depending on age, ht/wt. add more for exercise/activity, and then ~300-400 for pregnancy.

    I'm guessing you aren't quite that low? I find that most people underestimate portion sizes which can affect your calculated intake. Your weight gain is ok- you'll gain more the farther you get. But you're also a skinny minny to begin with, so I'm guessing your OB may want you to gain on the higher end of the recommended range. (Closer to 35# total)

    Focus on getting in some extra snacks- string cheese, nuts, fruit. You'll get there!

    @katers79 thanks for the info!! Last time I was there he said he would like me to gain a pound a week until delivery. I'm not setting that as a goal only just continued to eat what I was before. I'll grab some more snacks for work and hopefully that will do the trick! I want what is best for my body along with the baby but don't want to gain so much that there are issues taking it off after.

    I am 5'5" and 130 and 1200 cal is what I eat when I'm dieting. That said, I couldn't keep much down in the beginning with DS and gained 21 pounds total. The dr was not happy with that and neither was I. It did get harder at the end bc there is just no room left in there and the last thing I wanted to do was eat. Could you try an app like my fitness pal that keeps track of your intake? Also breaks it down into how much protein you're getting, etc. I've found it very helpful. I guess my advice is to get snacks in now bc at the end you may not have much room for food!

    IVF #4: 12/2014 transferred 2 great-looking day 4 embryos, none left to freeze, BFP, u/s showed empty sac, m/c approx 9 weeks
    IVF #5: 4/2015 transferred 2 early blasts on day 5, BFP on HPT at 8dp5dt, 1st beta at 14dp5dt: 3628 omg
