induced tomorrow

Well I am 40+6 today and I am going to the hospital tomorrow to get the foley balloon inserted. Im excited to meet my daughter but I'm so nervous and dont really know what to expect. I complain about a paper cut so I'm nervous about the pain! Does anyone have any words of wisdom on how to calm the nerves?

    Take a benedryl. :) It will help you sleep. The only advice I have is to focus on your breathing. It is what can help calm me down. Take a warm bath. Focus on the fact you will have your baby in your arms soon.

    It helps me to know that the anxiety WILL pass, try and pick a point in the future and visualize how wonderful it will be - at home giving your LO their first bath, or something like that
