Sausage Feet....already! So I bought a kiddie pool

I got home last night after going to the gym in the morning, working all day, and then went to my husbands lacrosse game.  I didn't realize it until I went to take off my shoes, but my feet had swollen up quite a bit.  FTM, so do any ladies have any tips on this?  It was a very hot day here, so I am sure that was a factor, but I am not looking forward to an entire summer of that.

I did buy a kiddie pool today and soaked my feet in that for a while (which felt incredible).  Any other tips are greatly appreciated!

Awwww poor piggies! I just bought some comfy flip flops today (with these foam pads sewn in them so they're super soft).

Lemon water helps. Maybe you lost a lot of water in the heat.

My feet got swollen so bad with my first baby that I could FEEL THEM JIGGLE when I walked. This was later on in pregnancy than where we are now but had to share that gross moment with you ha ha. By that point I forgot what my normal feet looked like and thought they'd never go back (they did). My doc never seemed concerned but if mine got that bad again it'd be a concern I'd think! Hydrate hydrate hydrate.

  • I feel the same way! I just got back from wedding... I was the chick in flip flops! They were sparkly... But still flip flops.
  • I bought some compression knee highs at Walgreens last week
  • I'm buying the gizeh Birkenstocks today to live in this summer.

I second compression stockings if you can get away with them in the heat. They are glorious! They do get hot and sweaty though but if you have to wear pants and shoes to work anyway definitely give them a go. I used to wear them daily when I worked as a nurse and they made a huge difference for me. Also as @WDDCH already mentioned, make sure to stay hydrated. That can really help too.
  • I noticed mine tonight when i went to put my shoes on i couldnt! I read up on it some, looks like elevating your feet when you can and decrease salt intake. I work on my feet all day and have had a crazy busy weekend so i guess it has caught up with me!

TTM but my first pregnancy to have the whole second half in the heat! This was the first time ever that I couldn't put on my wedding rings because of swelling.

Sorry, no advice but the kiddie pool sounds fabulous.
