Hi everyone this is my first and in the last few days baby has been quiet low can feel movement down quiet low I'm 30 weeks and someone said this is a sign I'm getting ready 4 labour anyone had this experience and if so is it a sign?
My little guy has been totally 'in position,' meaning his head is right in my pelvis, for weeks. I think he dropped down a month or so ago and hasn't moved. I don't think it necessarily means he'll be early, though. There's still a chance he could move and then return to 'position.'
I'm hoping he won't be early as my in laws are away on hols 2weeks before I'm due and it's first grandchild so I no they would be devestated to miss his birth
Ftm and ever since I started showing I've been told I'm carrying low & he's been head down since 27weeks & I'm 30 now but my mom told me they can move back and fourth between now and delivery (idk if that's true just going by what she told me) I've been feeling a lot of lower movements and "lightning crotch" since he's hitting some nerves OUCH. Hopefully he comes when he's supposed too although I wouldn't mind an early entrance as long as he's healthy!
My midwife has said that about 30 weeks and on is when the baby should be head down. Once they are they tend to stay head down. But, this doesn't always happen. Also, there doesn't seem to be any research that indicates this means the baby will come early.
In fact, research does say that 80% of first time mamas will have there baby late. On average late being roughly 40w+5.
For me it was true My previous two were both really low and my first was two weeks early and my second was a week and a half early. This time she has been head down and same position and spot for about 4-5 weeks. So I'm hoping she is a little earlier as my boys were!
Mine has been head down since 28 weeks. I've been getting lightning crotch and my muscles have been so sore. And now I'm getting some sort of rash on my belly. Waiting on the nurse to call me back now
