I agree with the dry cleaner! Usually fast and usually cheaper than David's. That being said one of my bridesmaids forgot to get her dress hemmed and david's did it a few days before my wedding but they way overcharged her:( last resort spanxs?deanna1313 said:Just not sure that they'll do it in less than a week. Maybe a local seamstress will or I can exchange with David's Bridal. Not sure what to do yet, but I'm freaking out!
Re: Anyone ever need last minute alterations on a bridesmaid dress?
Also, depending on where the dress is tight, you can try switching your bra or wearing spanx or a belly band. Obviously a pregnant belly is different than a chubby belly but it may help shift things enough that the dress closes easily. Switching undergarments can drastically change how your clothes fit.
My husband worked night shift do as soon as he gets up I'm trying it on with his help.
Unfortunately, I'm not wearing a bra:/
i believe David's Bridal requires 2 weeks turnaround for alterations, so I'd take it to a local seamstress instead.
Anyway....
The good news is my husband zipped it up, but it's tight and a little uncomfortable so I may have to talk to a local seamstress.
Thank you!
