The good, the bad, and the sometimes

Lately my stomach has been more sensitive with each meal that I eat. Certain foods feel heavier to me/more uncomfortable to digest than they did at the start of my pregnancy and I've had to adjust my diet month by month (which is no fun, when your tummy hurts & you have limited meal options).

Wondering which food/meals are off limits to some of you ladies for these same reasons, which foods you eat in moderation and which foods/meals you recommend that never hurt your tummy. For example, anything heavy on grease/tomato sauce is off limits for me, dairy I can only have small amounts, and for some reason Eggs/bread never make my tummy hurt.

Thanks :)

  • Yeh I know the feeling some foods leave me waddling and feeling like I'm going to explode, I stick to plain light meals now and love fruit for dessert. I'm pleased because I thought I'd be scoffing loads of junk but I just don't want it

  • Me three! I haven't managed to pinpoint what's bothering me yet, so I'm trying to stick to lighter stuff like fruit and popsicles.
  • I have a similar issue but it's not that it makes me uncomfortable, it's just that I don't realize I don't like certain things until I'm already eating it, haha.

Like eggs. Can't do it. I tried a couple of times to be sure but they always come back up - usually before I'm even done eating them.

Some fast food that I used to love at the beginning, tastes off to me now.

I can eat fruit - mainly watermelon & mango - allllllll day, everyday.

& like you said, bread is never a bad idea.
  • I'm tolerating Lactaid cottage cheese really well which is awesome bc I can pair w fruit or pumpkin seeds and is s good source of calcium for baby. Maybe try that or yogurt for your dairy?
  • I'm always sensitive to dairy. Not enough to make me give up cheese and ice cream but definitely enough to make me curb it. Recently if I eat pasta I feel super bloated and that you could just roll me down the street!
  • I've been noticing the same thing. And like the previous ladies have said fruits are my friend! I frel like I buy half of the produce section now but would love to binge on doritos haha. I thought I would "treat" myself to a burger the other day and ended up feeling crappy for the rest of the day instead. Small meals throughout the day seem to help the most. Frozen yogurt is great too if you want something sweet!
  • I think that I have my food aversion pin pointed as being bread. It seems like my body wants nothing to do with it and struggles digesting it. With my first pregnancy I could eat anything and did. This time around I am definitely more sensitive and prefer to eat healthy. If I steer too far away from the basics (meat, veggies, fruit, dairy) I run into problems with painful bloating and gas.
  • @heidi3189 No bread?! Oh, I'm so sorry! That's my favorite food ever. :((
