Baby and germs

when you have a new baby I don't think it's right for people to always grab the hand baby's hand first or rub the face. When people to my LO hands I always clean her hands after since she sucks on her hands a lot. Am I right for doing this since you have no idea how clean people's hands are?

    I don't know if there is a right and wrong. It's just whatever you feel is best for you and baby in this situation :) I haven't had any strangers touch baby as of yet, only family (who typically wash their hands first anyway). I don't worry about it when it's family. Baby is going to be exposed to germs left and right it's whole life. But that being said, if some random person at the grocery store touches my baby I'm washing her hands or whatever. Or asking them not to touch him. That's definitely not socially appropriate in my book.
