I've been super achy and having chills and my DH was giving me the whole "it's 3rd trimester I read it in my book." Guess whose temp just went up to 100.1? Guess who had to go out for a Tylenol run after I texted the midwife and doctor?
Being on bedrest and trying to spend time with DH around his work schedules (overnight 12am-7am and daytime 10am-6pm) has thrown off my sleeping schedule entirely. I sleep really well at the most random hours of the day, but otherwise I'm just up and wide awake. I wonder how much this will change when LO gets here. Nausea has reared it's ugly head and LO likes to stretch out into my ribcage which doesn't help. Just been feeling generally uncomfortable... Also I've been battling my appetite loss which just comes with a lot of guilt and force feeding because of the IUGR but I am just never truly hungry anymore and when I am I can't eat much. Sucks.
I have some how managed to tear my stomach muscle on top of Diastasis recti. Doc said to take it easy, but it turns out I use my stomach muscles for everything! Oh, and heartburn with a vengeance. If what they say is true about predicting baby having a lot of hair, I think I may be giving birth Troy Polamalu.
Lightening crotch has come and introduced its self to me yesterday. HOLY SHIT!! how has NO ONE ever mentioned this to me when theyve been pregnant? Morning sickness is nothing compared to feeling like your getting stabbed/electric shocked/pinched in the vagina with no warning. ouchhhhhhh
In such a bad mood today..sorry ladies..but woke up today with the worst RLP ugh so annoying..and then im sitting here sweating to death so went to close the windows to turn AC on and freakin window wouldnt close so me forgetting im pregnant and going ape shit on the window pulled something in my abdomen and my upper back!!! Grrrr so pissed and just want to cry bc im so hot!!! BtW never got the window closed !!!! Wtf!!!
Feeling anxious and cranky - thank you, third trimester hormones! Trying not to let it get the best of me. DH is being great with it, so patient with my mood swings.
On the plus side, DH stopped listening to me when I was being stubborn and refusing to turn the AC on and just turned it on himself. I'm cooling down physically and hopefully this will make me less cranky after a bit, too.
Sat all morning at a preparing for baby class, it's the warmest it's been so far (74?), and my ankles are swollen. ( I was getting a little cocky thinking I would avoid most classic symptoms, but I guess at 34 weeks it's all going to hit the fan. I know I shouldn't complain because others have it much worse, but I thought I was some kind of unicorn, dammit!

Haha, yep, this was me - I started getting all the classic symptoms at 34 weeks, too (currently at 36w4d). For the sake of my classes, I still want LO to be late... but physically, I'm just about ready for her to come! I'm ready to start feeling like myself again.
Probably the most irritable person in the world. I'm normally very laid back but...not so much. I had a really challenging patient/family for a full 12 hours last night and at times I felt myself getting hulk-style angry. It's really unlike me but I just have a short fuse all of the sudden.
TTC: 1/2014

Sorry for the poor man's siggy...ticker won't load regardless of how many tips I read.
Well the original Mother's Day weekend has been canceled due to flash flood warnings at our house and a winter storm warning for what would have been our drive home with icy and snow packed roads and up to 20" of snow. Then to top it off we're supposed to get 5-10" at our house by tomorrow afternoon. Gotta love Colorado! With all that said my top symptom is crankiness because our plans didn't work out. Swollen feet, fatigue, and numbness in my hands are my physical symptoms. *humph*
Mostly just very aware that all the joints in my pelvis/hips/lower back are loosening up.. I feel like they are ready to break apart sometimes yet at other times seem to get stuck in some awfully painful position- to the point that I have to pretty much crawl up the stairs. Thankfully, it usually doesn't last for more than a couple hours. Guess it's good that baby's getting some room to make his escape!!
Heartburn is killing me and sciatic nerve pain down my right side. I also keep getting this weird catch in my right Achilles tendon which feels just freaking wonderful combination with the sciatica.
Feeling very bushed today, all day, and to top it off had my work 'holiday' party today (since we are so busy during the holidays, they do it first week of the off season) and so I had to go and hang out with a bunch of my coworkers who were drinking (open bar on my bosses, and I missed it) and goofing off, bowling, playing bar dice... Generally having a blast and I was so tired and sitting at the corner of the bar with my fruit and my bottle of water. Also, I was beginning to stress because I hadn't been feeling very much moving around in the bump today, and being in that environment was making it hard to be to pay attention to that, and also couldn't be sure that the kid wasn't being quiet cause I was not resting. So on top of not having a very good time cause I felt crappy and everyone else but me was having fun, I was getting more and more stressed. I finally left. At home now with a cup of oj and sitting quietly. Beginning to think i feel more moving around in there, which is reassuring. I'll probably do a kick count once I'm done with my oj, and then after that probably go to bed. I'm truly bushed.
This girl is super emotional - that definitely doesn't go away after delivery!
I hope all you ladies continue to have healthy pregnancies and end up with healthy babies!!
Update on LO - we were discharged today and she is doing great! Her weight already started trending back towards birth weight and her slight dehydration resolved when my milk came in. At only 4lb 12.5 oz she seems so tiny (and was the smallest baby on the Mother Baby floor), but she is full of spunk!!
Keep trucking along ladies, it's so worth it (not that I need to remind y'all of that)!
This baby has been hanging out on my cervix for days now. Every time she moves (which is a lot) it hurts SO bad. Anything I can do to get her to move, or am I supposed to just suck it up??
Ugh yes! I've been so lucky and thankful so far with my first pregnancy but starting week 35 (almost week 37 now) the swelling in my ankles makes my feet and legs restless and crampy come bedtime. I bought some compression socks that help a little but the best thing has just been putting my feet straight up against the wall behind my bed for about 5 minutes. Good luck!
This may be TMI and I'm not sure if it's the pregnancy, could be a virus or maybe something I ate but I just had the most insane case of diarea. I'm scared to go to bed!
For those who were feeling good and now feel crappy... There is hope. I am also a lucky one and am 36+2 now. I have more bad days than I used to, but the good days are definitely still cycling through. Oddly, for me, the more active and less I rest during the day, the better I do. That said, I have to take escalators instead of stairs and subway instead of walking on the bad days. Hang in there, ladies, so close! Hope you all feel better soon.
@knwilliams01 I'm sooo happy for you!! So nice you get to take LO home and get outta that hospital!! Blessings, lady xo

I've seen in some pregnancy books that this is a sign that labor is coming Eek!
