fathers day...thinking ahead

So this will be my husband's first fathers day and I am just stumped on ideas of what to get him. Baby is of course early present number 1, but any other suggestions. I'll probably do breakfast that morning too but wanted to get him something small to open from baby girl.

I did matching shirts for dh and our dd when it was my husband's first fathers day. He loved it so much. If he has a favorite sports team, maybe you could do tickets to the game plus a little jersey (or cheerleader) outfit for baby and a new shirt for him. Or your husband's equivalent of a spa day. So if he likes massages, that. If he likes golf, that. For my dh- his equivalent is a bottle of nice scotch, so I plan to do that.
  • This is a good thread.....I may do matching shirts or onesie for baby to wear to surprise his daddy and also maybe a shirt for my hubby "1st father's day or something.......Keep the ideas coming
  • I am probably going to make a nice breakfast and dinner for my husband and send him to go get a massage, since that's his favorite thing to do. He says all he wants to do is spend time with our little girl and me so that's what we will do. Next year I'll try to get more creative. Maybe I'll also get him a nice framed Daddy & baby picture.

I think I'm going to get one of our maternity pictures, a picture from labor, and a picture from after baby is born printed and framed for him.

I was thinking that for my husband too as it'll be his first Father's Day. I thinking of making something with my sons footprints or hand prints. I've been looking up ideas on Pinterest
  • All good ideas. My husband is in the navy and they just started allowing them to have "fun" sheets on their beds when they go on deployments. So I got his these awesom superman ones and I'm looking for a onesie that says something about daddy being a superhero. Kind of a goofy gift but I know he'll love it

For fathers day I gave him a card with our daughters foot print in it! It was simple but it made him tear up!
  • My SO birthday is the weekend after Father's Day and he's been talking about playing the drums again so for Father's Day I'm going to get some engraved drumsticks that say something like my dad rocks on one and happy Father's Day with the date on the other. And then for his birthday he'll probably get a drumset. Spoiled man hahaha
  • My SO is a guitar player so I ordered him a guitar pick on the front is says "I pick you daddy" and on the back it says "Olivia
