Today I found out I've developed gallstones from pregnancy. The pain is literally some of the worst I've ever had and I thought I was going into preterm labor, which is how they discovered the stones. They hope we can go full term and wait to remove my gallbladder, but I may have to be induced pretty early if I develop more stones or it spreads to my pancreas. I guess this is a problem that pregnant women are at a higher risk of developing, but my OB never discussed it with me so I had no idea what the signs were. So, heres the info I got today- please, if you are experiencing any of these together, get checked out!
-nausea and vomiting
-abdomnial pain that can begin at your sternum and works its way towards the side and around your back; may be worse on the right side, but not always
-jaundice
-clay colored poop
-faintness
-abdominal pain as described above, experienced either constantly or intermittenly, can come and go and can be confused with contractions
-any stomach pain following particularly greasy/fatty/salty/acidic foods.
I hope this can help someone out in some way! I also hope the majority of you can stay digestively healthy
