I'm scheduled to have a c-section at 39weeks because the baby is breeched. I never have had surgery and I'm terribly scared and don't want to go through with it. Has anyone had this problem ?
May 15th for me. 1st C but 4th surgery, it's easy peasy. Recovery is always the hardest part but the sooner we get up and start moving the faster we'll recover. Good luck little mommas!
3rd csection for me. It's scary at first. Almost painless during and painful afterward. You will feel like your normal self in less than a month, minus the sleepless nights with a demanding baby. It will be fine.
I had a csection with my firstborn and will have another on the 13th. It's not so scary. I was awake and fully aware of what was happening during surgery but couldn't feel a thing. Recovery wasn't so bad, they had me up and walking with the day. What specifically scares you?
I had my c section today and I was so happy that I did not feel a thing while it was happening! I didn't even know they started. It was seriously not bad at all. You will be fine!
I was very scared too since I had a vaginal birth with my first one. It's not pleasant but neither is a vaginal birth. The recovery hasn't been as bad as my expectations. Take the pain meds! They help! Good luck!
I just delivered my 5th baby on 4/29, but it was my first csection and I was TERRIFIED....but, I can say that it is in no way as bad as I feared...stay away from all csection gone wrong Google searches and you will be okay...the worst thing about the actual surgery was feeling like I was paralyzed from the waist down but I just focused on talking to my fiance and the anesthesiologist nurse and it took my mind off of the weird paralysis feeling....there was no pain at all during the surgery, just some pressure and tugging feelings, but that was only for a minute when they delivered the baby....after, the only thing I can say is TAKE YOUR MEDS, I took mine every 4 hours round the clock faithfully for the first 5 days and it helped so much....moving around helps too, even if it's just walking a few feet, do it...I was able to get up the evening of the surgery and was able to get up and get a shower the next day...I just made sure I took the pain meds about 30 minutes before I wanted to get up and do anything....the recovery at home is getting better day by day, just be careful getting up to fast or reaching for things too fast...you'll do fine, good luck!!
I had a c section with my first one which went well. Started to move around from the very next day.I always made sure to take my pain killers every 4 to 5 hours before pain starts.so never had any recovery pain other than uterine contractions. My second section is planned on 14th of May. Hopefully all will go well.
I'm in the same boat. Baby is breech we tried turning him but he was comfortable where he was. I am having my section on Monday. I came to terms with it because it's what is best and safest for baby. My dr recommended taking a stool softener a few days before bc both surgery and the narcotics can make you constipated which would cause more unnecessary pain. Make sure you take your meds as perscribed. The key is to stay ahead of the pain. And yes, it is safe to breast feed on narcotics. Also, move around as soon as they say you can. Deep breath, a scheduled c section is the most planned way to bring baby into this world and everyone is there to make sure everything goes smoothly. Good luck!
