Numbness On Right Side

Hello everyone... I'm a first time mommy (4 weeks and 5 days). I'm currently experiencing slight numbness in my right leg (from hip to toes), uncomfortable feeling in my large intestine on my right side by my navel (feels like gas is stuck) and kidney back pain on my right side as well. I'm very concerned but don't want to trip out if this is a normal thing... These feelings go away however they do come back. Should I be worried?

    Do you have a doctor you're working with? That would be the best suggestion. I'm sorry you're experiencing that, I can only imagine how terrifying. Hope all is ok!

    Hate to say it but it's probably constipation... Might need some suppositories... Check with doc.

    I have sciatica which makes me loose feeling in my right leg and creates awful tingling in the back of my ankle, perhaps that is what is causing your leg problem.
    I don't know what could be causing the rest, but it seems almost full body pain, if I were you I would at least call the doctor and ask if they reccemond you coming in. Better safe then sorry.

    Sciatica could be the cause of the numbness, but it wouldn't be from your growing uterus (yet).  The pains in your belly and to your flank could be gas, or could be something more serious, like appendicitis.  Try lying on your left side in the fetal position, and getting your body to rest.  This usually allows the gas to move throughout your lower GI tract, and be released.  It can also help to roll from side to side to get things moving.  Make sure you are eating plenty of fiber - that will help with constipation too!  Good luck, hope it goes away quickly!

    Omg!! Thank you ladies sooooo much!!! I am so grateful. I feel so much better and I will definitely try your suggestions. I'm so happy to no longer be extremely worried! :D
